Library error I'm not sure Nexon knows about.

Hey TinSoldier. In the CWA library, there is what I believe is a mistake... correct me if i'm wrong. The "Economic Stimulus" tree takes oil... Following the pattern of upgrade it should probably take meat or gold not oil and the "Rocketry" tree takes gold. It should probably take Oil again, following the upgrade. It seems weird that something that upgrades farms, caravans and road takes oil while something that upgrades the Missile Silo takes gold instead of oil.

I believe the two prices are mixed up or something. It makes sense the "Economic Stimulus" to take gold and the "Rocketry" to take oil. If I'm wrong, disregard this but if I'm right, should switch the two costs to the right places. Thanks in advance!

I saw that too and figured it was just a consequence of being in CW.
Or more like Nexon making you use a hard-to-obtain resource to increase easy-to-obtain resources. Just another way Nexon keeps things challenging!
Would really like confirmation.

The Oil cost is by design. Across the whole game, you need to spend one resource to upgrade another, and since this Library tech (Economic Stimulus) boost both Gold and Food, Oil is the remaining resource type to base the cost around.

Ok, then why do Bazookas, Generals, the new mobile rocket launcher, plane damage, and paratroopers research in the library all take oil when they take oil themselves? By your logic, shouldn't they take gold or food?

If I understand it correctly, he's referring to the researches and upgrades related to purely the resources - gold to upgrade farms and mills, food to upgrade caravans and markets, gold to upgrade oil wells and refinery. And, Drilling chapters requiring gold, Crop Rotation chapters requiring gold, and Commerce chapters requiring food.

But what about the Rocketry. Surely that taking gold is not also by design because as Quovatis has mentioned through the rest of the game... gold and food stuff is separate and self contained while oil stuff always takes oil. I'm not complaining here trying to understand the choice.

I guess I can understand if something upgrades both gold and food that it costs oil instead of either but Missile silo is a pure oil building. Why would it take anything other than oil to upgrade? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I'm happy the way it is now ;)
Seems to be one more anomaly in the game, similar to Haile Selassie's Redbouts/Machine Gun tower upgrade cost researches require food, while Leonardo Da Vinci's mortar upgrade cost researches, and Sejong's tower upgrade cost researches require gold.
