My Dominations Experience

The concept and platform for this game is perfect, it has the Clash of Clans feel with the Civilization look. I absolutely love the game, despite the few issues I have noticed personally. I just wanted to share my experience so far in Dominations to remind other players and the developers that that there is good and bad in most games.

I started off, in what felt like the pre-historic age, molding my "tribe" into a village. Fur covered huts and primitive people gave way to the classical era, where the earliest semblance of civilization first appeared. In the hands of my Warriors, clubs became Spears. Wooden palisades, over time, became stone. The village began to take the form of a city. Weathering bitter sieges and waging war through out the course of ancient history, my small village survived to become a true city, a civilization unto it's self. My people erected ancient wonders, and built the great city to new heights. I have forged an alliance with a worthy ally, and together we work to keep our people safe from the chaotic world outside of our boarders. My city now stands at the height of the midevil age. Attacking rivals have brought devastation to my people, weilding spears that shoot bolts of fire and ring with the sound of thunder. Regardless, my people stand fast against any would be conqueror, and will face any that threaten our great city. Will my civilization stand the test of time? Who knows. We have lasted this long, and we will endure whatever the future may bring.

Thank you for reading my story. Remember, despite any issues a game may have, it's as fun as you want it to be. Also, to the Devs, remember that there are plenty of people who love gaming, and despite the issues that seem to pile up as fast as you can fix them, still love this one. ;)

I admire your imagination. However, for me, this type of game is not conducive to that type of enjoyment. If I wanted to forge the story you painted, I'd just go play the real civilizations games. But if that keeps you liking this sinking ship, keep doing what you're doing 👍🏽

I don't think it's a sinking ship, I've played a lot of games with more issues that have lasted a very long time. I don't think it's near that situation yet. But it does have issues like all games. Personally think the OP has a bit of a fantastical view on things, but I'll agree that I still enjoy it and am excited about the game moving forward.

When the developers are nerfing things left and right that were fine as is when there are overwhelming amounts of game breaking bugs, glitches and AI issues going on, the ship is sinking. They are just trying to milk as much cash from you sheep as possible now.

Every leader/conqueror dreamt like that when they started this game... that's until they see each of their buildings need 4 to 4.5M resources to upgrade, walls need 3M each and their troops run around in circles becoming cannon fodder when attacking bases. Then they notice some civilisations enlist in the usage of alien technology a.k.a. cheats. Then thinking nothing can stop them they continue their ambition only to find that their troops are constantly getting weaker and weaker (being nerfed).

When they start to feel the pain and their civilisation is falling apart or being risk buried in the sand ... a n00b leader will appear and tell them about his beautiful dream. The vicious cycle repeats.

Well I'll admit I embellished my experience in this game. But, I do enjoy playing it. I've been attacked by cheaters just like most people have. I've scratched my head as my troops attack a wall segment to get to the building behind it, despite there being a hole in the wall the next tile over. I haven't gotten to the point when everything gets ridiculously expensive yet. I'm not looking forward to that grind. But, it's not going to stop me from loging on a few times a day and having fun, or at least attempting to. I've beta tested games that also tested my sanity, still play a few of them to this day. I understand everyone's frustration, and that's the real reason I wrote that post to begin with. But honestly, if you just can't stand a game, you can always just take a break from it and check back at some point. If the ship is still afloat by then great, if not oh well. Games die, but gamers don't. We just respawn. =)

Good on you. As I said above, I like your enthusiasm. I do think there are more positives than negatives in this game.

Have you played Clash of Clans? I'm at th9 and it cost 3 million to upgrade my walls. If I want to max out my defenses its also in the millions. I've heard that at th10 you see upgrades that are 8 million!! Although farming in coc is a lot easier then on here, the cost for upgrades on this games and the lenght of time it takes to build them is crazy!!

CoC builds are much longer. At the end of TH 9 you builds are 1 or 2 weeks, and you can build more things simultaneously

raiding is easier

I play 2 accounts in CoC - Both are TH10. Yes, some stuff are capped at 8M and 7.5M there but is still possible to get if you are not active raiding. Both my a/cs have maxed Inferno and X-bows. 1 of them is now moving ahead with L13 Archer Towers and Cannons.

The thing I feel is... Enlightenment Age here (TC8) is equivalent to TH9 in CoC and Industrial Age (TC9) is like Coc's TH10.
