Hi everyone,

As a huge fan of Dominations, I'm thrilled to see it finally available on PC! It's been a blast conquering and warring from the comfort of my keyboard and mouse. However, I believe a key addition could further enhance the PC experience: keyboard shortcuts.

Dominations has thrived on mobile for years, but the PC platform offers a different gameplay style. Keyboard shortcuts would streamline actions, making the game feel more intuitive and efficient for PC users. Imagine:
  • Building, researching, and training troops with a tap of a button/specific short cuts.
  • Issuing commands and maneuvering troops with ease.
These are just a few examples. Keyboard shortcuts would significantly improve gameplay flow and make Dominations feel truly native on PC. This, in turn, could attract a wider audience of PC gamers who appreciate the added control and responsiveness that shortcuts provide.

I understand Dominations has its roots on mobile, but catering to the PC audience with this simple feature would demonstrate a commitment to a smooth and enjoyable PC experience.

Who's with me? Let's show our support for keyboard shortcuts in Dominations!

Thank, keep your "ignorance" to yourself. I was just trying to figure out the expediency of your suggest, which is why I asked about its substance and details. As a result, I observe a very interesting picture.
Yes me and other readers too

Naturally, other readers too! Otherwise, you would have abandoned any of your words in favor of the momentary situation. Keep it in your head and remember what you are talking and writing about, or re-read the thread.

I understand that your arguments are over, the only one argument left when there are no other arguments is “The fool himself!” Here I propose to end this meaningless dialogue. Good luck to you!

Naturally, this is the most important thing that we all expect from the game - keyboard shortcuts, right?
Would you like it if BHG left everything and started doing this or just get distracted by it? I think not. That’s why the idea has the character of “just to suggest something”. Only in this sense.
Let's name this idea "for the long distant future", it will be calmer for everyone.
I'm also against keyboard shortcuts because it goes against the basic concept of the game's interface " select an object + select an action on it".
Glad to see you've moved on. 🙄

A short excursion into the history of interface construction. At first there were simple and unambiguous actions, then action menus appeared, then nested action menus followed - this is exactly when keyboard shortcuts started to be used again - and this speaks of a complex and not intuitively constructed interface for interacting with the user. Thus, keyboard shortcuts are used where, as a rule, the user interface is not thought out and built correctly. Let's just say that everything in the interface should be obvious and “on the surface”. Therefore, my opinion is that keyboard shortcuts make the game more difficult. Many people are just used to it.
It's clear that you have this, shall we say, very strong aversion to shortcuts - but you do realise that, just because they might be introduced, you don't have to use them??? For that matter, don't use the pc either - just keep using your mobile device.
And maybe just stop and think once in a while.

That's your opinion. Other may not see that way. Why you not make your own suggestions of joystick/game pad. Thats new for this kind of strategy game :). Hahaha.
In fact, you are offering the same thing - a PC keyboard “optimized” using hot keys. As far as I understand this is preferred in action games where quick reactions and speed are needed. But for some reason it doesn’t bother you at all that this game is a strategy, as you yourself emphasized.

I agree, it can be implemented so that it is simply “like in all games on the PC.” But is it worth it?

There is a lot of splashing of saliva, but there are also arguments.

But in general, I agree with @ZenDen that the introduction of hotkeys will give some advantage in control from a PC, which may cause dissatisfaction among mobile users.

The only one guession. If Domination on PC is really slow, then the hotkeys can be taken as compensation for poor implementation of the program - if the mouse freezes, things are really bad.

And let’s not forget the fact that this improvement of game will take time, and implementation may also introduce more bugs into the game.

This doesn't make sense. An improvement of the mechanics on a pc has no relevance to mobile users.
The very notion that mobile users are arguing against helpful implementations for pc users is a perfect example of people just wanting to be heard. Also a perfect example of pointlessness.

At least the fact that developers will be distracted by the implementation of this mechanism is not in itself particularly good news. I think so, they should, in principle, at least make sure that the game does not slow down on a PC - as far as I understand from all the communication, this is precisely the main problem.

And the voice of the “PC user” has been more than heard... judging by the number of posts in this thread.

Improving your PC will tie up your developer abilities, so your investments are better spent elsewhere.
There are also no shortcuts on mobile devices. (In other games, use Shake to collect all resources, etc.)
Why would PC players have an advantage? Why would PC players have a time advantage when they can select their troops with the push of a button? On mobile devices, they can't monitor all their troops and tactics. , you also need to swipe left and right during combat.
There should be no advantage for the PC side here.
People on mobile devices have found ways to speed up deployment - pc users don't have the same options so why shouldn't they be given a similar advantage? I don't think hotkeys would/should necessarily deploy all troops immediately - just save you having to drag the mouse.
For the record I don't play on the pc - I just happen to see a potential qol improvement. Beside, adding hotkeys data would be like a drop in the ocean to this already bloated game.
If you're worried about adding data, maybe BHG could remove such uselessness as the individual reward collection graphics in the events - just make a collect all button - or the unnecessary councillor merging graphics or the even-more-unnecessary graphics when opening each councillor cards - better yet, when I have 30 cards in my inventory, let me open them up with one click and save all that pointless data.

Besides, this whole conversation is moot: if BHG don't introduce this, no-one cares. If they do introduce this, a small percentage of players - who aren't even vocal - will no longer be not heard. 😄
