Hi everyone,

As a huge fan of Dominations, I'm thrilled to see it finally available on PC! It's been a blast conquering and warring from the comfort of my keyboard and mouse. However, I believe a key addition could further enhance the PC experience: keyboard shortcuts.

Dominations has thrived on mobile for years, but the PC platform offers a different gameplay style. Keyboard shortcuts would streamline actions, making the game feel more intuitive and efficient for PC users. Imagine:
  • Building, researching, and training troops with a tap of a button/specific short cuts.
  • Issuing commands and maneuvering troops with ease.
These are just a few examples. Keyboard shortcuts would significantly improve gameplay flow and make Dominations feel truly native on PC. This, in turn, could attract a wider audience of PC gamers who appreciate the added control and responsiveness that shortcuts provide.

I understand Dominations has its roots on mobile, but catering to the PC audience with this simple feature would demonstrate a commitment to a smooth and enjoyable PC experience.

Who's with me? Let's show our support for keyboard shortcuts in Dominations!

Sometimes I get the impression that suggestions for improving the game are made "just to suggest something." The entire game interface is built on a very simple, convenient and understandable concept of working on a mobile device: select an object + select an action on it.

Give at least some specific examples where this is not enough and it is necessary to enter additional key combinations?

Hi ZenDen,

I appreciate your perspective on the simplicity and convenience of Dominations' current interface. While the game's foundation is indeed well-designed for mobile devices, the transition to PC offers an opportunity to enhance the user experience further. I believe incorporating keyboard shortcuts could provide a more seamless and efficient gameplay experience on the PC platform.

For instance, consider scenarios where specific shortcuts for actions such as troop deployment, artifact crafting, or selecting units before pointing to a location during multiplayer/world wars could streamline the process. These shortcuts wouldn't replace the existing interface but would rather complement it, offering a quicker alternative for players who prefer the keyboard and mouse.

By introducing these shortcuts, Dominations could cater to a broader audience, including PC gamers who value the added control and responsiveness that keyboard shortcuts bring. It's about striking a balance between maintaining the game's roots and adapting to the unique dynamics of the PC environment.

I respect the simplicity that has contributed to Dominations' success, and my suggestion aims to build upon that success by tailoring the experience to the preferences of PC gamers.

Thank you for considering these thoughts, and I look forward to further discussions

Oh, ZenDen, my man, you're like a stand-up act that needs some fresh material. You asked for specific examples, and I threw them at you like punches in a comedy roast. But I get it, maybe you're more into knock-knock jokes.

You wanted specifics? It's like asking for the recipe when you can't even boil water. Picture this: You're in a war, and instead of fumbling like a toddler with a Rubik's Cube, you hit a keyboard shortcut, and boom, troops drop smoother than your attempt at understanding sarcasm.

You're asking for substance, but it's like asking for a Michelin-star meal at a fast-food joint. Sometimes you gotta spice things up, my friend. Keyboard shortcuts are the hot sauce Dominations needs, and you're over there looking for ketchup.

I'm not here to roast you; I'm just handing out comedy medals for the best unintentional punchlines. Keep the laughs coming, ZenDen.

Cheers

Select an army from the list and click on it with the mouse. Is it “fumbling like a toddler with a Rubik's Cube” for you? Very sad, I sincerely sympathize. Then, indeed, you really need keyboard shortcuts.
I understand you, and the discussion is over. You don't have to continue. You're getting personal.

I get it, you're seeking substance, not a stand-up routine. Let's cut to the chase. You're right; I've outlined the benefits of keyboard shortcuts without drilling into specifics. My bad.

Got your note. Let's keep this on track. We're here to discuss enhancing Dominations on PC, not trading barbs. My suggestion is rooted in a desire to improve the gameplay experience, drawing from my past enjoyment of PC games like Rise of Nations. It's about evolution, not a knock-knock joke.

I respect differing views, and if keyboard shortcuts aren't your flavor, fair enough. Let's get back to the topic, enriching Dominations for PC players. Open to thoughts that align with that goal.

Let's focus on the essence – making Dominations on PC kick-ass. I'm a former Rise of Nations player; shortcuts were a game-changer. This isn't about personal jabs; it's about evolving gameplay.

Keen to hear your thoughts on refining the proposal without the comedic flair.

Cheers

Keyboard shortcuts are very useful during attacks. They’ll let you deploy your troops faster and smoother than using just the mouse which doesn’t work all the time. Watch Dominations Gamer recent video on youtube and you will get what I mean.

After all, people (you) can explain everything clearly and understandably. Now the reason and purpose is quite clear.

Then you can probably feel some anger from mobile-only players because in this case you get some advantages. But these are just my inferences. For me personally, the simpler and clearer the interface, the better. And you can learn to fast control the mouse.

"mouse which doesn’t work all the time" - perhaps this is a problem? Then we need talking about to make a more responsive and nimble game interface.
By the way, when I played on the game emulator (Android emulator) on the PC, I also felt that the game slowed down and sometimes froze. Apparently, it's about the same effect here.

Not totally sure what you mean but I assure you my feelings have nothing to do with this. I don’t even play on pc and do not plan to. It’s a game; I feel neither anger nor love towards anyone or anything about it.

I was just giving you an example of why people would want keyboard shortcuts which is standard in any other pc game—so yeah, BHG will most likely implement it at some point regardless of anybody’s opinion or preference.

Then you talked about simpler and cleaner interface. Adding keyboard shortcuts doesn’t not add complexity to the game; it adds better and smoother experience during attacks as I said.

I agree with your last point about it being maybe a responsiveness issue. It very well could be and it seems like a fair point.

How many people - so many opinions. For me specifically, remembering all these keyboard shortcuts is a complication of the game. But any point of view has the right to exist.
And, more importantly, wouldn’t want BHG to be distracted by some not particularly significant things in the game, at least while there are long-known unresolved issues and bugs in the game.

I seemed to ask for specific examples, but in response I again received a lot of general phrases with a minimum of substance.
You cannot find substance because you lack of understanding. Thank you DerBabyHund for helping this pretentious guy explaining.
It is better if someone is ignorant to stop replying otherwise later you will be exposed.

Perhaps I myself would be happy to evaluate the Dominations on PC, but I don’t have the opportunity, because. Just for the sake of experiment. And so I’m quite happy with everything on Mobile.
