I think the event was withdrawn because of the bugs... my workshop said it would expire in 365 days. Not sure they wanted me getting 3 gifts a day for the next year, which is a shame. I was quite pleased with the prospect.

I have personally never run out of tactical troop cards. Nexon provides more than enough opportunities to replenish without spending. And I use 4 cards in most war attacks. It’s the top teams that find themselves having to pay out the wazoo for herds of elephants in their strongholds in order to stay on top that are financing this game. Meanwhile alliances like mine are having fun despite the occasional war against these folks. Betrayal of those beasts to use as pets is a blast! If they could eliminate the horrible mismatches all together, my team probably wouldn’t even see the P2W alliances and all wars would be exciting to play. I might even be willing to spend a little more on upgrades in order help stay competitive in evenly matched wars. But buy cards for one time use? Not necessary to have fun in this game.
