Don't even think about climbing - if you want to climb - until you're high GP or even EA. (imho) For now just enjoy the raiding and fun of playing. If a GP army comes along so what - soon it'll be your turn .... besides, GP bases have good loot for MA armies. My MA Frenchies love GP bases !!

1800 is like an annoying hill - sure you can climb it - but is it worth the effort ??! I can honestly say once you're over it then yes, it is worth it. My brits actually find it easy to stay around 2300 with the little effort I put into the game - 90% of my defeats are for 1 medal.
Although some &*%$ came along and took 24 medals off them last night .....
