I was wondering what formative experiences led all of you to become Dominations addicts? (yes, the first step is to admit it). I think my obsession stems from hours playing Civilizations 2 (best version) during college summer break. Was Civilization your entry drug as well?

I played Civilization too, but came here after getting tired of another base builder...Samurai Siege

Both Age of Empires and Rise of Nations were my favorites, and those led me here :)

I am NOT a Domination addict. I am, however, an Age of Empire addict. Still play them today!

I come from the pc generation - my game of choice (after COD) was starcraft but it was the realistic look of this game that hooked me - not as cartoony as other mobile games.

You and I have a lot in common. :)

DomiNations is like the online, multiplayer, tablet-friendly evolution of Civilization II. I also agree that Civ II was the best instalment in the series, and I even kept a PC just for this game when I switched to a Mac. I then discovered I could play Civ II on a Mac with just a single click, and since then I discarded my PC... :)

What helped me discover Dominations was Apple's App Store giving it the "Essentials" tag. That really brought it to my attention and since then I haven't looked back. This is the #1 iPad game by far for me.
