TinSoldier - Any status / timeframe for restoring the pre-Museum Expedition secondary rewards (Peace treaty, Commerce blessing, Crop blessing, …) ? I assume this is in the queue, hopefully after the fix for CHAT…. Providing status would go a long way to appeasing some of your player base,

Given that the design of the Museum had a serious omission (see post from TinSoldier at 05-22-2018, 06:47 PM)

Happy to jump in and talk about these 3 points for a minute.

1.) Why was the Dock re-worked to included Museum resources and fewer National Trade Goods?

As the Museum opens, there wasn't a permanent place to get all of the resources you will need to upgrade your Artifact to 4- and 5-star items. The idea was to increase the current interaction rate with the dock by offering these resources there. The team has already had discussions about further improvements to the Expeditions. perhaps that could mean larger shipments or other balance changes to put some of these unique things (such as the Crop, Commerce, and Wall Blessings) back into rotation. National Trade Goods can be gained in a few other places, so they were the best candidates to take a side seat (at least for a little while) for the new Museum resources.”

Along with the following post (@TinSoldier at 05-30-2018, 03:18 PM)

“I agree - we'll have to find a new home for the blessings & peace treaties. We have talked about adding additional dock slots, but with the iPhone X redesign we didn't have the bandwith on the team to hit up the Dock as well. There were some good suggestion here with where else the Supplies, Researchers, and Benefactors could show up!”

And the statement made during the live Twitch event from the lead developer of the museum release making a statement about looking into restoring the expedition secondary rewards,

Restore you player base’s trust / satisfaction by providing some kind of status on this issue. This change disgruntled a segment of your player base population and is not going to quietly go away.

Judging from their history, it will be a year or longer before anything is done. Sad but true.

At least you have saved the line by adding the "or longer" extension to it... Otherwise it would be utterly optimistic

Maybe I'm sitting to low or too high, but I can't really get the point... Who needs blessings in an exchange for worker's time? Either you can get some for free (i.e. without sending workers for them) or they doesn't make sense...
You don't need PT if you can plan your upgrades well (don't leave much rss when logging out, for God's sake!), you don't need farming blessings at all (c'mon, nowadays looting is much easier with the museum buffs), and all the other blessings are/were too expensive to send out workers for them. Put them into the uni instead....

Many players would use the 24h PT to fill in the cool down times around the purchased treaties and thereby gain continuous protection from attack.

Bear in mind that not everyone is playing this game the way you are playing. I personally rarely raid. My goal is to try to result in a five star result when I battle, or obtain stars from failed attacks due to a good defensive base. When I do attack, I use various different troop combinations just to try out the various types of troops. I also spend very little money on the game. ($20.00 / month)

Blessings (crop / commerce) help to get to the big upgrades sooner. I personally have fully upgraded my mortars, machine guns, oil wells and anti-tank gun with the help of the commerce blessing. My regular Barracks troops are almost fully upgraded (all but mortars) as are my troop tactics. My mercenary camp is also fully upgraded as are my Barracks. The crop blessing helped me get there.

24 hour Peace treaties were nice to protect my resources against raiders, when I wasn’t quite there in terms of gold / food / oil.

The secondary resource expeditions (+ diamonds, trade good shipments) enabled me to easily fill my mercenary camp with tanks destroyers and T-62 tanks as well as the various defensive and offensive blessings.

Finally, the medic blessing was a nice insurance policy when in battle.

I generally plan my upgrades carefully leaving 2 available for mines/fruit trees/hunting and then committing these resources on expeditions overnight or during the day when I was at work. With the library shipping fully researched, the expeditions requiring 2 or 1 resource were reduced to 8 hours and 4 hours respectively. I would commit more when I had a day or so between upgrades as well.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the concept of the museum. There are some issues that NEXON needs to work out in terms of resources (museum resources & bleprints) and crafting (+1% perks just aren’t worth upgrading, in my opinion). What I don’t like is the way NEXON broke something that a subset of the user base was using and had committed resources / time to achieve because of an admitted design flaw.

Hope you see the other side now.

I would like to know a timetable as well. Can you create another building type to gain museum resources or balance the ones gained or better yet, find a use for the hundreds of researchers and benefactors just sitting around doing nothing because so few of the artifacts are worth getting up to levels 4 and 5.

TinSoldier - any status / timeline on this?

Are you hoping that if you stick your head in the sand it will just go away?

Or is it that you don’t want to admit that the Museum was poorly designed (see above) and is being poorly managed (ridiculous offers - $75 for potentially 8 lousy artifacts, $40 for a chance to get one L2 unlock) ?

I have been tracking my Museum Crafts for over two weeks. Kept only 7 artifacts out of 220 crafts. In that time have not been able to accumulate enough museum resource for one L3 unlock. What a waste of time. If the business plan was to peak the interest of long- term players, then that is another missed requirement.

Failed business requirement, bad design, no data analysis, no long term game play testing... I have been in the software business for over 30 years and a deployment as poorly conceived and implemented as this usually led to dismissals.

Is is the reason NEXON is charging so much for museum offers is to offset the cost of the Ill-conceived museum?

Add to the list the general bonuses have changed too. So generals now come back with cold and food almost every time. Not impressed given they are level 42. No point adding generals and wasting them, the upgrade time is months and you get nothing special for it

A few of us have done some testing, and our results indicate that after level 10 or 11, sending higher level generals makes no difference. And this is not new after the update, it was true before the museum as well.

Really missing the 24 hr peace treaty from the dock. As a result I’m medal dropping and no longer put money in the game as it’s not worth the effort. I am sure I’m not the only one. This was a bad move to exploit the museum which is a money pit.

Agreed, I miss them along with the trade goods and the blessings. I have had to modify my style of play and honestly I am not sure how much longer I will proceed. I am sure this is a sentiment shared by a growing population of players. It is either a show of apathy or a sign that they have no idea on how to proceed. You would think that the number of people reading this thread would be a sign. The sad part is Nexon’s lack of response. A simple response would go a long way.

As I stated above, I have been logging my Museum activity since 5/29. In those 17 days, I have crafted 265 artifacts in 53 crafting sessions.

Based on the following criteria,
1. For situational artifacts (library gold cost, library food cost, vault capacity, vault interest) the artifact must improve on the currently held artifact’s boost and/or potential capacity for those situational artifacts.
2. The pottery artifact must improve on the currently held oil boost or equal the currently held boost with the potential better with one one upgrade.
3. For the jewelry, armor or weapon artifacts
a. The first three perks must be 6% or better.
b. There must be at least 4 perks with at least a 6% boost OR three of the +6% or better perks apply to the same resource target.
c. The first three perk must be useful ( USELESS Perks: mortar damage/HP, Wall miner damage/HP, Bomber damage/HP, invading bomber damage HP/damage, invading mortar HP/damage, invading Attack Helicopter HP/damage, invading Guerrilla HP/damage, Forest expansion refund )

I have kept a total of 7 artifacts, which is 2.6% of the total crafted.

In that time, I have been able to only perform one L3 upgrade and one L2 upgrade (although most of the museum resources were already accumulated).

if these numbers meet Nexon’s expectation for the museum, then it sad that they would attempt to exploit their loyal player base. If NEXON didn’t forecast expectations for crafting useful artifacts and/or unlocking and upgrading useful artifacts before releasing the museum, then shame on them. Regardless, the response by the player base should be a strong message, just like Nexon’s lack of a response is a strong message.

Timeline please...

BTW - I am up to 330 crafts and have kept a total of 7 artifacts. Not a compelling upgrade. This is how you thank your log time players. Since you broke expeditions, My fully upgraded merc camp is totally useless unless I buy the troops requiring diamonds. It’s getting near time to leave feedback on the Apple store to warn away potential new users.

thanks BHG / NEXON

Here here, exactly the same problem. I need those diamonds for Tank destroyers in the WW, the only option I have is to reduce WW activity currently. None of mine teammates are happy with it but without them it's undoable I have discovered. I am playing WW with a second account with a lower level Dock so I can get diamonds from Rangoon.

Aren't you getting diamonds from your 4 or 5 star wins?

You would be amazed how many diamonds you can get from just sniping exposed town centers and storehouses. Give it a try.
