Rushing from IA to AA with the upcoming Event

How, i look at my road upgrade to level 6 and its only giving 1,115 xp.

Road upgrades give the stated XP times the number of roads. So 5-6 will give you 111,500 XP if you have 100 roads as industrial allows.

Edited to add - once you hit global, you can build 10 extra roads. So that alone is worth 10*(355+470+470+760), the XP gained from each level upgrade done up to level 5. That is ~20k XP right there, or a level and a half alone.

Yep so you'll jump 8 or 9 levels just from road upgrade. That gravy train ends in global, where the xp gained is drastically reduced for road upgrade.

I went Atomic with largely IA defenses (I had Global tank depots and HT bunkers) and it's fine

I can see both sides of the argument for rushing. Definitely go Global, that's a no-brainer. I wouldn't argue against AA either, just check with your alliance leaders; it might upset the balance of your group. My alliance is top-heavy, and we are sitting half our AA players each war, otherwise we get top 100 opponents, who are all pay-to-win (our favorite subject )
