Screen glitching MotoG4, second phone

I had a MotoG4 and when I play this game, after 20 seconds the screen starts glitching, as though someone is rapidly pressing buttons and the screen, mostly in the editor button, but also other areas. My power button broke so I replaced the phone. With the new phone (same moto g4) I first thing installed Dominations and ran it and got the exact same thing - after 5-30 seconds is as though some jerk is rapidly pressing the screen, often in the lower right area. If I do not run this app, this does not happen. I can run Clash of Clans with zero problems. It seems unlikely to be a hardware problem since it's the second phone. And it's the only app. Any ideas?
