Shock infantry Vs. Tank defenders

Does anyone know if the health of defending tanks is similar to that of an attack tank? If so, does the shock infantry do sufficient damage to them? I know that the bonus to tank health might have inspired the anti tank gun to receive a large bonus in damage in comparison to other upgrades, but I didn't know if infantry lost any effectiveness against defending tanks. It's a bit of a pain for my Wehrmacht to briskly march up to a tank while taking casualties, but large numbers of them, which I rarely use anymore, still inflict a generous amount of damage to tanks once they are standing a couple inches from them to use their guns.

Isn't the defending tank of your particular nation the same as the attacking tank of your particular nation? I would then expect the health - and everything else - to be the same.

French and Greeks have special tanks, but their tank depots produce generic tanks on defense.

Defending tanks have vanilla hp(not french or greek hp) but defender bonus to dps

It's a pain to deal with defending tanks. I've found biplanes are the best way to kill them quickly
