Struggle to get NTGs

The game is tougher than ever, getting NTGs is really hard. Lower level players in our Alliance are really struggling. Is anyone just not using them? I'm thinking of not worrying about them and just focusing on the University and Museum. THOUGHTS?

Most in our alliance aren't warring much. If you want to be really effective, you still need them though.

Drop medals! Annihilate crap bases. Watch the NTG's overflow. I actually find it easier by far not that you get three instead of two.

don't know your level and age but I am cwa 230 and I currently farm effortless using the following:
12 attack helicopters
2 tactical helicopters
1 APC
3 bazookas
a few soldiers
and just kill everything that comes with my planes. All defensive buildings just melt. I am in the 800-1400 medal range and target players between 140-190 (global/atomic) level.
I have 28 NTGs maxed in all categories except porcelain which is more rare.

I don't use troop cards, mercenaries, generals and tactics. Only in atomic bases I might use a betrayal on a heavy tank but that is all.

update: just 5 starred a level 218 base with that troop combo but i had to use some tactics as well (betrayal on an HT MK4 and decoy to gather the many tanks together and kill them with planes)...
I am starting to really like this troop combination....

update 2: I tried to raise the difficulty and attacked a level 229 cwa base. I had to use mercs and all tactics but I got 5 stars again. This thing works and without generals and troop cards even on harder opponents.

I wonder what will happen in 10 days once I complete the chapters at the library about helis and make them Heavy attack helis? It will work wonders!!

Do they work better than maxed out heavy tanks? Because that is the bar they would have to clear to replace my regular army...

yemen No mate. I guess that they don't work better than HT MK7 but is something new for me and I like it. It is fun and while we build our Mk7s, we have something to keep us occupied! hahaha

The attack helicopters seem promising with their recent buff, using a modified version of your composition, 7 attack helicopters, 3 mk5 heavy tanks, 2 tactical helicopters and shooters I've been very successful with mp attacks.
True test will be world wars :/
