Summer for the Ages begins 7/1 and with it the return of Instant Town Center Upgrades! Of course, you’ll have discounted upgrades once again this year, but this time for Classical through Drone Age. You can also look forward to increased resource production, an extra Video Retrain, an updated War Chest, and discounted forest clearing!

Age Rush Discount Dates

Starting Monday, 7/1, you’ll see discounted upgrades from Classical to Drone Age for 60% off. This lasts until 7/29, when upgrades will be discounted by 50%. The final stretch of Summer for the Ages will have a 40% discount from 8/26 until the end of the event on 9/23.

Marco’s Summer Deals
Each day in Summer for the Ages, if you’re within Classical to Gunpowder Age you’ll find a Small Resource trade for a single Crown. Those between the Enlightenment and Automation Age can trade Food/Gold for Oil. Marco is even offering Resource shipments for watching a video ad as well!

Events

Strength in Numbers Community Event
Our first Strength in Numbers event is kicking off 7/1 with the very first monthly goal of reaching 70 billion Reward Points! We’re tallying up everyone's Reward Points throughout July; hit the halfway point and everyone will earn some extra Summer Chests, hit the final goal and everyone gets Premium Recruitments! Stay tuned on our social channels where we’ll be posting progress updates. August and September will introduce new goals and new rewards.

Increased Resource Production
Each week you’ll find a different resource boost event going live! The first event, Colossus of Rhodes, will give 30% more Food, Gold, and Oil and will last until 7/15. Check out future Week Aheads for the next resource boost event!

Beat the Heat Daily Rewards 7/1 - 7/7
Be sure to log in each day starting 7/1 for free daily rewards! You’ll find the Summer Chests will give you chances at various Legendary Artifacts including Ashanti Kuduo, Personal Computer, and more!

River Thames Frost Fairs 7/1 - 9/23
The Frost Fairs took place in England when the River Thames would freeze during the Little Ice Age, which occurred between 1350-1850 CE. The Thames froze nearly two dozen times over these years. When the ice was thick enough to bear weight, people would construct tents to sell souvenirs, drinks, and even roast ox. During the Frost Fair of 1739, an entire section of ice cracked under the weight of the celebration, swallowing tents and people under the frozen river. The end of the Little Ice Age and a more freely flowing river - thanks to the demolition of the old London Bridge in 1831 - will keep the Fairs as celebrations of long ago.
