There is no way that this should end at the Space Age! there can be so much more! There should definitely be a Cosmic Age! Think about.. you could start implementing super human soldiers, lasers, mutant man beast hybrids, the cosmos is the limit.

The Sci Fi Age. so many possibilities in robotics, space travel, genetics, medicine, technology, teleportation would be an awesome battle blessing!

Nah, If I wanted sci-fi on it, would keep playing Star Wars: Commander. The historical setting is one of the biggest selling point of DomiNations. Besides, going sci-fi can go in a very wrong turn and look ridiculous, like the Empire Earth series did.

I like the hoitorical part too. I am just thinking that once space age is reached, then what? That would be a good point in the game for SOMETHING new to happen. Colonization of unexplored lands? The ability to switch nations? Perhaps new nations? America or Russia perhaps. Aztecs, Huns, and India could hold fertile ground as well. Maybe melting pot nations where you could combine the features of two current nations? Perhaps you could conquer a nation and absorb some of its wonders an powers? I'm just brainstorming on ways not to come to a dead end at some point in the space age future.

This reminds me of my post a couple days ago. If the Space Age means exploring new worlds maybe we could create a new civilization as a secondary account but with all the buildings, resources and civilians available from the start, what do you think? Maybe even a terrain painter for some orange colored grass? The add link button does not recognize the link to my post so I'm including it the old fashion way in case you're interested.

Lis, Rise of Nations, the masterpiece of Big Huge Games, did not went beyond actual history, it simply did not needed it (if you don't know the game, just go for him, you will love it!).

IMHO Dominations is the same case.

And besides, unless you pay real money, there is a loooong way to Space Age. To medieval to gunpowder age the cost is 1,5 millions gold and nearly a week of waiting. Imagine how much you must play (or pay, if you wanna go fast) to get endgame?

Apart of go sci-fi, I think that the rest of what you said in your last post is a lot more reasonable. More nations, more customization, the ability to mix and match the game as you please, and events. Yes to all that.

Sci-Fi can be done on a Sid Meyer's Colonization-like spin off.

I agree I dont think people understand how long it will take to reach space age.

I totally agree with the idea of more ages after space age. Space age is the age, were people are discovering the space for the first time. And if you google: " Space Age".. Well the pictures in google shows some old space stuff from some old movies. We definitely should have some futuristic age, cosmic age, robotic age, sci fi age, aliens age, plasma age, ect. And yeah since its a good game i am planning to stick around for at least 10 years and... By that time i think i have reached space age lol and wants more.
