The Terra Cotta Army

I don't quite yet buy into the idea that the defensive Wonders are the only way to go, especially when the game will be patched and have balance changes.

That said, I'm intrigued by the Terra Cotta Army, but I can't find anyone anywhere who has built it to get a clear idea of what the power does. I get that I can summon an army, but how strong? How many? Have any of you built this yet?

From the stickied thread: Terra Cotta army produces 10 soldiers and 10 archers of your current level. This initially seems like a pretty decent offensive power, but the number of troop slots does not increase with age, so its value is constantly decreasing, and, of course, you can only use it once a day, which is quite limiting.

Strength of the gladiator scales better as an offensive power, because it continues to scale as you increase in power/age. The defensive bonuses on Terra Cotta are also worse than other defensive bonuses.
