Requires 5 workers... Just found out and im in "shock"...
This is insane... I currently got 12 workers in the uni - soon it will be 14....

My other upgrades will soon stop completely...

i am starting to agree w those saying this game is on a fast downward spiral... Long build times. Huge worker requirement - progress will go to a standstill and become boring

I said this when Uni just came out, I have a very different view of it all (duh). To me it creates more diversity and dynamics having so much stuff to upgrade and being limited. Why? Well because then all of us won't have the same upgrades etc. A big reason I consider this game to be the best strategy game in the mobile base building genre is because of how diverse it is. Users can be different nations, with different wonders, and lot's of different technologies...it creates a world where every raid/battle you go into will not be like the one you did just before. Why I left CoC is because no matter what base I attacked I knew exactly what I would be up against because everyone has all the same buildings and troops. In addition we all had the same troops for attacks and not control of them...the strategy is very limited and becomes extremely repetitive. Dominations creates a very dynamic arena where there are so many different variables and you'll most likely never meet an opponent that is similar.

So basically what I'm trying to get at is that I like all the additions and upgrades, even if it means I may never get to the end...for me this game is not about reaching the end. And that makes it different from all the other games, in those games I'm just racing to finish. Here I know that's not feasible, instead I grow in the direction I feel will best suit my gameplay and style, and hopefully that direction I take gives me the upper hand I'm aiming to gain. So more workers for better tech? Good, then it's less likely many people have it.

It's not about diversity it's about fair play, if u bought starter pack 2 and estate u will easily upgrade everything u want
U will have all bonuses while others have few bonuses
The idea of making premium players (progress faster) is no longer the concept of devs, it's making them (having what others will never have)

Isn't the house from starter pack 2 available to non paying players eventually? I personally feel like it's close enough. I'm playing several other games where paying customers get significantly bigger advantages, for example games like GoW etc.

I have only been playing for around 7 months and I'm starting to understand the benefits of the uni. Doesn't matter that it takes more workers but if each step - for example riflemen - upgrades at 3% you only need to do 4 or 5 stages and soon my EA shooters are more powerful than IA shooters, etc,
The uni benefits me because each increase doesn't cost all that much - I can handle it a little at a time. I agree with redprince.

Am not talking about the availability, it's about the value, previously starter pack 1 wasn't as effective as starter pack 2 since all u do is buildings and they require much much less time than university that u may even not care to get it
But now with the worker overload (which by the way no one can deny it) they force u into buying their (premium workers) or go to hell with the amount of upgrades u gonna miss

You're not going to "miss" the upgrades, you will just have to wait longer to get them. And that is part of my point, people have to pick and choose because of the limited access. That creates diversity because players can't all have what they want.

It is diversity because the so called "easy" upgrading takes away from upgrading other things. There is always a cost to weigh when deciding what to build/upgrade, because it does take a long time and takes workers. So many people may do the same thing in the first tier or so, but then as things get more expensive there will be more picking and choosing. How is it unbalanced? That does not make sense. Even without the same amount of workers everyone gets access to the same tech. People who pay should get some benefit, being able to upgrade more seems like a reasonable benefit if you dole out $50+, no?

redprince you are totally right. What people can't understand is that in all other games u can upgrade everything and every base is the same with only different wall levels. It would be okay if uni was available since the beginning with total of 10 leaders. Then people would understand that u can't upgrade everything here. They added it too late so some people have problem with it.

Maybe after they add additional leaders people will see it. OR maybe they just should add some info to the uni info box saying - choose wisely cause u will never upgrade everything - we'll make sure u won't ;)

Although it doesn't change the thing that university needs some tweaking - adding exp to player exp and visibility of uni-upgrades ;)
