I agree with the OP here. I usually plan ahead to have 1 worker available, but its a needless pain in the ass. During the times when I have zero workers I basically stop playing the game as there is nothing to do. I don't think Nexon wants people in that situation, and given that walls are an instantaneous upgrade I don't see the issue. They already improved things for us by allowing us to pay for walls with food after we asked for it (temporary bug aside), so I think asking for QoL improvements like this is a good thing.
