I’m currently in the Medieval Age, and of the 100 walls I have built, 21 are maxed, and the rest are one level behind. I recently went on a thunderous streak of raids with a troop composition I hadn’t seriously considered before, trying to earn NTGs (most of which I collected within the first day of the event, which I completed in under 5.5 hours after it began — not playing 5.5 hours in a row, obviously, but chaining 5* attacks when I could and doing something productive whilst retraining), and very rapidly gaining resources. I’m done with all blacksmith research, my Library is consistently active with two technologies, and my workers are perpetually in action upgrading something. This means that, though I was able to upgrade some walls using gold, my food has been maxed for about three days now (due to the frequency of my attacks), and my estimate is that I’ve lost between 10 and 20 million in food. Should I have been able to use this on walls, they’d probably be fully or almost completely upgraded by now. I mean, where’s the logic in any of this? Do my citizens just magically learn how to upgrade walls for food once they reach EA or whatever it is? I have no idea what the purpose is for making it take so long to get to an age where I can upgrade them using food. It’s like Nexon took people’s frustration with having so much food and being unable to use it, then figured they only wanted to help out higher-age players. Might I remind BHG that, without any new players, the game will die.
Without any way to spend my food, I suppose I’ll perpetually be taking people’s food and wasting it so that it goes nowhere, and nobody ever uses it. Those farmers on their farms worked very hard for that food, only for it to be wasted by food-rich marauders!
