Good morning, guys. I am French level 188. I still do not decide between the Sydney Opera House or the Pentagon.
Home I never bought houses in the game. Do you think the extra villager adds up to something? (16 + 1).
Home Or is an additional defense bonus preferable to the Pentagon?

Well befor you go to either consider the United Nations that provides a nice army that can't be sabotage like the pentagon. And the atom allows faster research in the university. Both I'd say are an upgrade over the two you have listed. I had the pentagon and it really didn't do much at all. You have to reload the general. It doesn't do it automatically. I switched to the un but once I started putting 12 people in the university I saw a nice way to use the atom

Only reason to use Pentagon is that it cost less crowns to retrain the planes after they are shot down. If you tend to crown the planes you will save a lot over time... :)
Or if you are almost done with the uni...

If you war a lot you can't beat the UN. Now that coalitions are strengthened the need for more and more National Trade Goods far outweighs the need for faster retrain on planes.

36 trade goods in 2-3 hours!?! I'm lucky if I can get 6 or 7 attacks in a training blessing. Since the update I only get a NTG about half the time when I five star the opponent, less if I don't get QV. Ocassionally (1 time in 4) I get 2 NTG's with a five star victory. At best I get 4 or 5 in a training blessing. And don't get me started on trying to find German bases to attack.

Really depends on your play style. If you don't war much go for atomion or opera house. Either is fine. If you war with Lv 30 and up generals pentagon is better. If not UN.

I agree I jumped on getting the UN for that very reason the defending troops are just a little bonus, they really don't help
much, watching replays they get cut down pretty quick but every little bit helps though. We do back to back wars so getting the daily NTG is really helpful and the extra coalition troops are nice too!

Wondering same question on AA Wonder. For UN, which unit will be spawned and how many troops available for defense? Im playing as Roman and troops like heavy infratry from Command Post didnt help much. I'm now considering Pentagon (for faster plane training which means faster loot) or Opera for 1 valuable citizen

Atomium is sneaky, it doesn't look like it is an offensive or defensive wonder, but it honestly is both since it allows one to research all the powerful hp and attack bonuses that the University has faster. This all pays off in the long term, more than the UN or Pentagon do.

Choice of wonder would depend on what's your area of focus. I would more or less agree with what Andrewdsz said.

If you're war focused, either the Pentagon or United Nations might help.

With the United Nations, you get one each of the unique units of each of the eight nations in the game. The national trade goods available per day might also help with coalitions for war. But, are the defensive troops which spawn upon destroying the UN going to scale with age (in future ages)? Or, are they still going to spawn Atomic Age units? I'm not sure of this aspect of United Nations.

The benefit with the Pentagon is that, as you progress through the game, you can expect that your generals will get stronger as you keep upgrading them, and so, the Pentagon might scale better with future ages (by holding a stronger general progressively). It might force the attacker to plan for an additional sabotage for the Pentagon, instead of a tactic being used elsewhere.
Since you're playing as the French, where you already have reduced training time benefit for planes, the Pentagon might nicely complement your nation's benefit, by further reducing the training time for planes.
With the possible introduction of University researches under Amelia Earhart, reduced training time for planes from the Pentagon might nicely complement the buffs which the planes might receive. But, this is purely speculative at this point in time.

If your focus isn't on wars, either the Atomium or the Sydney Opera House might help.

Both the Atomium and the Syndey Opera House are essentially giving you additional person hours to work with (through reduced time at the University or through an additional citizen). Would you like to constrain the usage of those additional person hours to the University (by going with the Atomium), or would you like flexibility with where you would like to use those additional person hours (by going with the Sydney Opera House)? Answering this question might help you choose between the two, if your focus isn't on wars. An additional consideration: If you have an estate, or, if you plan to invest on the estate in the future, the additional citizen from the Sydney Opera House might nicely complement the three citizens from the estate.

Hope this helps! Cheers and happy gaming! :)

war is pure fun nowadays as the loots are completely not worth it so take that into consideration too. I now seeing a lot of people put focus off the war due to this reason.
