World War Maintenance - 6/16: Pax Romana comes to DomiNations

As many of you are aware, we needed to enter emergency maintenance mode yesterday for about 20 minutes after one of our World War servers unexpectedly went down, and affected a part of our player base.

When we came back up, we have talked to a number of Alliances that found themselves fighting one-sided wars, or stuck in a limbo where they were unable to matchmake with other Alliances.

Today, we again adjusted the World War. At this point, two things are going to happened.

1.) All current Wars were ended.
2.) We collected data about all affected Alliances. We will be rolling out a compensation plan shortly.

The World War Maintenance is lifted, and Alliances will be able to search for and find matches again.

This is not related to the World War Beta Replay testing or to the recent adjustment to player ranking during War. We apologize for any inconvenience and plan to keep you updated as we take further steps. Thanks for your patience!

yeah and you guys still have it totally messed up. it has now reverted half of our alliance to the previous war and now our entire clan is out of sync in world wars. and this just happened minutes ago so your system is still messed up.

good job on yet another screw up.

TinSoldier Not sure the everything is fixed, we still can't find a match after 4 days of searching

TinSoldier , still no solution for the teams that can't get a match, like us in 1st Dynasty. We tried everything. CS in incapable to give any answers. Do you have anything to tell us?

We lost 500 glory because for us the war was stopped but our opponents still continued to attack, it's so unfair, if at least the war stopped for both alliances but here one could continue the attacks

We still haven't received any compensation regarding the failed World War.

We lost unfairly the last match and over 600 glory points as the war disappeared only for us and not for our rival.

We are only getting generic and standard replies from Customer Service but nobody from our alliance has received any compensation and glory points are gone.

This is becoming very frustrating so we need to know if you will do something or we have to give up.

I appreciate the information we have been given, but unfortunately while we can search for matches, we and other alliances have been unable to find any.

It has been over five days without war for The 1st dynasty.

Yes, we have restarted searches, tried for long and short periods, have different co leaders initiate searches, tried different numbers, left out our top players... the only things I can think of that we haven't done is to add in a bunch of Iron Age accounts or drive to Nexon's headquarters. Not that I am advocating either!

I wrote to CS with one question: are technical people working on this problem over the weekend? They didn't answer. I understand weekends off (although in general in IT, outages require fixing no matter the time or day)... but if no one is working on it, then it would be very nice to tell us so we could stop the song and dance of trying to get a war when there is no hope.

Please advise!

Couldn't have said it better myself. The robotic responses via customer service are a slap in the face to any reasonable person and even worse to those of us that spend a lot of money on the game. I am in storm elite and we still can not match either. We have been trying for the same amount of time and have tried all the same things as Michele from 1st dynasty. We continue to pay and play this game for war. No war on top of the cheaters/hackers and contant glitches, all the remaining top players are gonna leave too, with their money. Give us some kind of communication more than the one I got that said "it was turned over to development and they have no idea when it will be fixed"

Thanks, WhoYaWitt. I'm sorry you can't get war either. I've heard of at least ten alliances in the same situation. The CS replies have been less than helpful.

TinSoldier we are still waiting for the compentation plan! We lost 615 PG in a one-sided! We need to get those PG back soon!

The compensation plan has been rolled out for all affected Alliances.

Please contact CS if you feel you were affected and didn't receive anything. (It would have appeared in your Inventory and Stronghold.)

What does PG stand for? I apologize for the ignorance, but there's been a number of terms that we use internally that differ from what folks use here. The biggest example are the ages. We would call an AA base Atomic - but I can absolutely see how typing out Enlightenment time & time again would get tedious. I assume that PG may be Glory?
