A world of HT attackers

If BHG’s primary purpose was to get players to use other weapons by installing this rebalancing, it’s doing the opposite. Why? Because many players are now going to an HT attack.
All BHG had to do was to dump or drastically downgrade the elephant archers. They are the one component of the game which has cause the most problems. Of course, the cheating is just as bad and is getting worse.

yes, many of us are thinking about switching to HT ... because at some level of defense that's the seeming only effective attack.
my french cavalry do pretty well on just-upgraded cwa, about level 230. but beyond that there's clearly a ceiling i will never cross.

in my defense log there is only 1 all-ht attack, and he used 4 eleph archer cards with them.
in my alt defense log, 3 all-ht attacks.

and i actually do see more variety in troop compositions and tactics used in both defense logs.
i had previously thought that this wouldnt be the case, but they made it so that just about anything will work against weaker bases, and just about nothing will work against tougher bases, so it kinda allows a lot of freedom on what to use

No one had 5*d my base for months... 6 mk7 HT later, 5*

a guy got 3 stars (71%) on my base using only:
12 assault vehicles + 4 planes SSF MK4 + a few foot troops and 1 sabotage.
If he had a few mercenaries and 2-3 more tactics, he would get that 100%. Maybe assault vehicles are a viable option after all.

I started using all HTs way before the re-balance because it's the only way to reliably get 5 stars without loosing half your army and waiting on re-training troops. It gets kinda boring but I get all my NTGs without loosing troops.

Anyway, Nexon will probably never remove EAs because they’re a prime target for the whales, but it was at least manageable in the period before these ridiculous changes. They’ve just made it impossible to five-star anything without immense losses, and top-tier defensive bases are nearly impossible to defeat.

I bet their next sale will be HT armies...

I checked some YouTube videos of 5-star attacks against top 3D CWA bases - they were all HT+troop cards, no exceptions. You can tell attacks before and after the patch by the decoy timer)

About of 35% of the CWA players are british and 24%German.

Honestly I think the ht attack is over rated. I’m only lv 228 and everyone who has tried it on my base has lost all ht plus planes. That’s around 16k oil and lots of training time. Mine are only mk5 with no university buff but trying against low lv alliance members I found them unreliable and way to expensive to lose. Not to mention incredibly boring to attack with. So slow I’d rather use other troops and feel like I’m playing even if I die.

The answer here is: “no university buff”. Just spend a couple of years to finish it and you will see the difference) Besides, every new army composition requires some practice before you adapt to it. And if you come across some video of dominating over the 3D CWA base without HTs after the stage 2 rebalance, please, share it with us)

I agree Blood, and even with uni buffs a HT attack is doomed against well designed, compartmented bases, unless you have max AA or CW troops and even then it takes a lot of management. I've used HT armies many times and my CW HTs are the ones l was most comfortable with.
Any HT army below AA only does well against weak bases.
