Hi TinSoldier Xabar

I would like to know where and how to apply damage reduction of "all defensive enemy towers damage" of the war artifact museum.

When asked in the app support, they informed me that the reduction is limited to 85% of the damage, that 15% is preserved, even if the sum of the artifact exceeds 85% damage reduction.

The question that remains is, if I have -100%, have I invested Blueprints and features in vain? I threw money away?

Or is there a reduction of the bonuses inherent in defensive towers (Library, Museum, Coalition and University)? If so, how would that apply ?? On the whole or splitting the base damage from extra bonus damage ???

First, this publication are duplicated. Although I do not work to Nexon, it seams a logic response, a 100% is not coherent. Think that if you have a paper boat or a steal boat, in both cases you have to make an action to sink it.

No it compensate the % of all defensive towers damage that the enemige have.

Xabar I did not know I did not work at Nexon, I always see you posting Nexon news, I thought it was from the inside. Sorry about that.

I fully understand that it is not coherent to reduce 100% damage from a defensive unit, which I do not think is definitely consistent with Nexon omitting this from players. For only by getting in touch with the doubt was it pointed out that there is an 85% limitation of damage reduction.

if A has enemy defensive tower damage as -100% only -85% will count. and if B has defensive tower damage +100% only 85% will count.

when A attacks B he will be attacking B with -85% not -100%. B will have +85% not +100%.

conclusion: the cutoff applied in this is before you attack anyone. so the 85% is the max you can have. it will not change based on your opponent.

No official Nexon position as usual.

The support each time gives an answer, and here it seems that nobody from Nexon wants to speak, game walks every day more towards the decline.

I just paste the Twiter and Facebook information to help the players that dont use social channels. If you read the previous post, you'll notice that there are many user resquesting that the information in the social channels will be published at the same time in the forum.

I will be glad, if you make that Nexon pay me. But sadly is not the case

If you really did use all those blueprints and money (Don't know if you use actual much but to get to 100% there's no way you'd have that many blueprints) before asking, that sucks. I would ask cs or post in forums before I went ham on the upgrades. Just reading their response it'll never be less than 15% factoring library/univ research, the defenders artifacts and such but there would be no way that it would reach zero. That would be a cool thing to say that you got it to 100%. I know that it would be technically possible but just the sheer amount of rss needed to do that is maddening to think about. I'm at -40 def tower hp and -40 tower def dmg but because of that I'm at zero blue prints.

There is no official clear Nexon position on this. The two main questions without answer:

* We do not know which attributes have an 85% limit. For example, some attributes like oil loot can exceed this number (i.e., some attributes do have the 85% limit while some do not).

* We do not know when the 85% limit is calculated. Meaning, if an opponent had -10% defensive something and you had +100% of the offensive something, what is the actual something value during the attack? Is it 85-10=75 (calculated after the 85% limit kicks in) or 100-10=90 but then taken down to 85% (calculated after)? We don't know, and both are viable options.

Urbano can you please paste your final artifact summary. as you will get final summary with only which will count. if one benefit will have maximum 85% it will not cross 85 in summary.

I have already reached the limit, based on what was passed by the support.

However the doubt that persists and that I do not get a sure answer from a place is: 85% are about basic damage from defensive units, or about total damage, with university, library, museum, and coalition bonuses?

see you have your answer for max limit in this screenshot itself. that's why i asked for SS. when there is a cutoff for a particular benefit it shows in summary and it will only apply. as i said earlier you will only have 85% benefit even if you have 1000%. that max cutoff is only for few benefits and that will show in summary.

now your question of damage reduction for base or total. offensive benefits apply to base damage/hitpoints. so same thing will apply for defense or opponents. that might be the reason for the cutoff when you apply enemy defensive tower damage of 100% and it removes base damage of enemy by 100% then what ever benefit they have with their defensive tower damage will never apply. so yes this 85% will apply for base damage.

will the applied percent change anything if it is applied on base or total?
below is math for that

base= base damage
P= benefits from library, university etc.
85% your museum benefit.

total damage of base: Base+ base*P

now calculation if it is applied on base damage:

base damage becomes: (base- base*85%)

Total damage becomes: (base- base*85%)+ (base- base*85%)*P = (base- base*85%) (1+P)= base*(1+P)*(1-85%)= (base+base*P)15%

now lets see what happens if the 85% is applied on total damage:

total damage of base: (Base+ base*P) - (Base+ base*P)*85% = (base+base*P) (1-85%)= (base+base*P)15%

hence both are equal. if the all defensive damage reduction is applied to base or total damage it will give the same number.

I hope this clears your question. i can understand this might be little confusing.

The game is beyond rescue, it would be easy making it fair by removing museum and stronghold but Nexon is to greedy to realise it. That will be their downfall. Btw, that level 361 (max level is 332)are still roaming free on top list. Have been reported many many times but nothing happens. No one sane is gonna spend a dime until something is done.

Urbano : would you be so kind to post your museum stats and artifacts? I am in awe and can only imagine your hardwork to put this together. Kudos.

Your algebra is correct, but your starting comparison is off.

You should be comparing

base + base*P - base*M

to

base + base*P - (base + base*P)*M

which aren’t equal.
