@Motaz Tarek

I actually quit CoC when i discovered this game. Its a shame too that it has gone way way down hill since i started last year i think. Global was released right after i started.

Thanks for all the input! We all agree that P2W is hurting the game. Let's concentrate on giving Nexon good suggestions for making money from things that don't affect gameplay, such as cosmetic skins for troops, renaming bases, real bargains for sales. Let's persuade them to try getting smaller amounts of money from more of the player base rather than large amounts from a few players.

another suggestion is weak but cheap special troops. I am in the Bad Rabbits alliance, so when fire breathing bunnies were available I bought them. Twice. I know, they are troop cards, but they are funny. I use them more for amusement than to gain advantage in war.

Master Contrail Program[/URL]]No, I mean the crown costs of rushing things. From IA and up it costs essentially $10 to rush a single building or late library/uni tech. There are over well over 100 of these per age in the late game. Though I doubt people would rush things like the vault or increased marble chance it's still ridiculous

I think the cost to instant finish something is the same as CoC or very similar. And at that, i dont see the issue since its worked for CoC.

The real issue between the 2 games is the fact that there is so much more you need to upgrade in Dominations and worse and worse in this game.

They need to "rebalance" the build lengths in this game, especially since there are at least 2 more ages planned.

There are only 29 troop/spells that need to be upgraded in CoC. Not counting generals(those are below) there are 35 troops/"spells"(tactics/coalitions) to upgrade in Dominations.

In CoC
Not counting walls it takes 3,768.01 total upgrade days to fully max the main village buildings and 1,063.25 days to fully max all the troops and spells.

Thats a total of 4831.26 total upgrade days. It would take 719,310 gems ($5,137.43 USD) to fully upgrade assuming you always had the resources to start the build.

For instance in Dominations, it takes 222.941 days of upgrade time to just clear the forrest, something of which you dont have to do in CoC.

It takes 134.6667 days to fully upgrade a genearal, or 808 days for all 6 generals.

Library Research 654.6666 days to fully research.

So right now we are at 1685.6076666 upgrade days BEFORE factoring in all of the university research

I expect this number to get much bigger with more ages coming. I fully expect at least 1 more general and 2 more levels to the library.

so to put the above numbers into perspective, based on the gems/days cost for CoC above, it would take us 250964.43 ($1,792.42 USD) crowns to instantly finish these extras that arent in CoC. Thats 34.88% of the total cost it takes to fully max a base in CoC and again, we havent factored in any of the university research.

Yep, also consider you can upgrade 5 things in CoC at any time. In Domi, that's very unlikely to be able to do in the later ages, especially when buildings take 6+ workers to upgrade, keeping 2 to hunt/gather, and the university requiring workers too. And to top it all off, there are at least 2 more ages, so it's easily a factor of 2 more. Ridiculous upgrade times that are almost an order of magnitude greater than CoC.

I don't have all the numbers, so thanks for that, but is that not what I just said? Going by global there are close to if not more than 30 upgrades in the armory alone, excluding generals. 40 library techs and a library that must be upgraded twice. Around 70 buildings, roads, traps. Apart from the early library techs every one of these upgrades takes 6-14 days.

This leaves out generals, uni and forest clearings entirely from the equation.

$10 worth of crowns will get one maybe 2 of these upgrades at most. Is it necessary to upgrade all of it or rush any of it? No. But why would anybody buy crowns when the returns are so minuscule in the grand scheme of things?

The Crown Cost/Upgrade time doesnt need to change, its the same model as CoC.

What needs to chance is the actual upgrade times in this game, they are way out of wack when compared to the #1 game in the Genre.

Indeed. Checking in every fortnight when you have a meaningful amount of free workers is a ridiculous way to maintain interest in any game, much less a mobile one.

Cross 20k glory, and you will start finding them regularly.

When you see an alliance that looks like a good match on paper, but they somehow have 2-3k more glory than you, be very aware that they are probably SH loaders. It moves your bases up the equivalent of an age or more in difficulty.

Glory doesn't matter... War weight does... My alliance is global and atomic down to about 30 players and we match up with top 50 alliances regularly... We only have 18000 glory. Glory does not matter when searching for war. We have way less glory than 90-100 but will never match with most of them because we are too strong according to the algorithm. Glory is BS because it doesn't measure the true strength of the alliance...

Remove Troops cards will make this game better. Or you can only use Troops cards on raiding.
if you do that, every one will happy.

The P2W will continue to dominate as long as we all keep buying. That includes your own alliance who are also buying huge amounts of ele archers and using them on offense as well as loading most Strongholds with them in most wars. Not complaining about that, by the way. My own alliance are buying now and then as well but in smaller quantities. It is what it is, and it's not going away as long as we all keep buying. I've seen screenshots of players in other alliances having HUNDREDS of EA cards. Nexon is laughing all the way to the bank. :)

Some of the buildings/troops are seriously overpowered. If Nexon is not going to eliminate pay to win, atleast they should nerf troops like elephant archers and buildings like bazooka tower.

Ha...eliminate pay to win?....oh stop it you.

I am an almost maxed CoC town hall 11. Player. The reason I and my alliance started dominations is because of what they call engineering (sandbagging). CoC I believe is working on controlling it or even eliminating it. I will tell you where Supercell gets my money. It is from paying to build my troops. You get a four times boost for an hour worth for five gems per barrack or royal or spell factory. I believe it is where they get most of their money flow. Sure there are always the whales who will gem everything new but that isn't sustainable.
Sure dominations has something similar but who in the heck wants to use ntg's on that when they are so hard to get.
That is my quick solution. Of course no one is going o do that though when so many other things are broken so they will have to fix all of that to make it really pay off.

I am new here hi all although its been a few days i have started playing the advertises that caught my intereset in the upper right corner for some troops...
I thought that this is another pay to advance troops like COC but was shocked reading the comments seeing that they are pay specific troops i am not against paying here and there for some little advantages but not willing to continue playing a P2W game i have spent over 1000$ on coc over the years but not because i was forced to i am still in bronze age yet requirng 4 workers for some buildings tells a lot and those troops ofcourse obviously are p2w troops so it might be better to delete the game before advancing meaninglessly

Lots of interesting points made here, but not a single reason for Nexon to stop offering elephant archers, troop cards, or any other P2W element. Until they have an incentive to do that, it will continue. Grumbling by the same 10 or so people at the forums isn't an incentive to stop.

As long as people will pay for it, that's how the game is gonna be.

I’ve never considered this, or any other game, as pay to win or even pay to play. This game is absolutely free! You can pay but only if you want to. No-one is holding a gun to anyone’s head.
Sure, there’s a very small percentage who only care about winning and they’ll pay, the rest of us don’t have to. Don’t expect Nexon to stop their income flow because you’re unhappy. Why would they?
If people are so against players who pay to win there are 3 choices:
If you need to compete, join them.
If you're happy to play, accept them.
Try another game. (I love abandoned bases!)
I laugh at the mentality of complaining about others paying in a free-to-choose-to-pay game. Those others are the ones who allow you to play this free game, and subsequently complain about them at the same time! :D

FroggyKilla , yes I have, when Fyber was offering double crowns about a year ago. I got about 3300 crowns, best $6 I ever spent! :D
Other than that I recognise that is a 'mother' of a game to play freely. Dominations is a walk in the park compared to that!

I think what people have an issue with are the EA armies, howie armies, etc., because not only can they make a base very easy to defeat, they can improve your time. Whether or not you pay for armies (the free ones are objectively worse, unless you get an EA army from the quest) can actually decide if you win a war. The better and the more troop tactics, the shorter a base clear time is, and that's what matters at top wars when perfect scores are ubiquitous.

I also think people are upset about the Estate (at least they were when it was introduced) because you can't get it through normal gameplay, you HAVE to pay to get it. But in reality, all it does is allow you to progress faster; it in itself doesn't grant you any special powers. I still think it's unfair not to make it obtainable by crowns, and that's as someone who has both starter packs and the estate.

Persia , what I think people have an issue with is: ''other people have more or better stuff than me''.
It's not confined to Dominations.
FYI, my IA account doesn't have the estate and it's motoring along nicely. :D
