Given Nexon’s significant shift to valuing defense over attack (which I am largely fine with) I think they should also scale the rewards for successful attacks in equal measure.
It is now fairly commonplace to lose 3 generals (2.5K+ oil) and all 5 fighter planes (4K oil) in one successful war attack. Throw in bazookas, a tactical helicopter and a few APCs and that is a lot of oil that we are now much more likely to lose in light of silos, generals spawning and an increase in defensive SH cards. I cant understand why the war loot we get from attacking a global base vs an atomic base is almost the same - it is like Nexon wants to punish Atomic players or thinks we dont need additional resources!!
In addition to the considerable cost of mounting a war attack, we have to contend with all of this stacking and P2W nonsense, a shoddy matchmaking algorithm, crashes during war attacks and replays that aren’t accurate most of the time. Surely anyone who is silly enough to put up with all of this should at least be rewarded properly for their persistence.
I think 2 successful war attacks on global bases should give 2 million food and gold, and 12k oil. Two successful attacks on atomic bases 3 million food and gold + 16k oil. Obviously attacks on lower level players should also increase to a reasonable level too

It's actually an easy fix to do. Scale war loot to cost of troops trained with a difficulty multiplier.

Oh wait that is way too simple for Glitchon and Big Huge Bugs.

Yes, good point. It used to be a resource plus to war all the time. At Atomic, I can do better just raiding. Interesting they would create a significant disincentive to war when war is the main reason we are all here. I also agree the game needed a little more defense. But it is an adjustment.

Agrees.. especially for oil loot.
GA war loot should be increased by 50% - 100%,
AA war loot should be increased by 100% - 200%.

Glory can be a multiplier for war loot as well; for example:
12000-14000 = 1.05
14000-16000 = 1.10
16000-18000 = 1.15
and so on.

I have commented on this in other threads, but I agree completely.

First, increase the base value of loot from attacking an atomic base - the amount you get during an attack. Minimum of 3-4k oil and 400k food / oil for an atomic base - assume all of their wells, farms and caravans are completely full for whatever level they are, and the storage buildings half full at least. That would cover a lot of the cost of the attack, independent of the win / loss.

Then increase the base war loot by double for atomics and close to that for globals, so that even in a loss you are coming out ahead by being in the war, and not behind. The winners get a nice boost, the losers go home thinking they should still participate in the next war, and attack appropriate age targets.

Agree. War loot should be doubled, and the oil bonus at least 3x more. It's stupid that you can get a victory chest reward of 16k oil for free, but only a max of 6k oil for 2 hard-fought WW battles.

Yes, Please an increase in war loot that relates to the expense of conducting war at the GA and AA levels would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, War loot should actually be loot meaning the amount of loot we receive should make the effort more than worth it. Where is the incentive to go to war in GA and AA? Going to War is a loosing proposition. Please Please Please Please Please Please Please Nexon increase the war loot to something meaningful for us GA and AA levels.

I regularly opt out of war so I can stock up on Oil (and NTGs) so I can actually upgrade my base. Increasing war loot to something meaningful and profitable would certainly increase my motivation to war.

Actually currently war loot is only about obtaining Gold! other resources are cost of training army!
Gold almost is okay but other resources (food & oil) must be double!
No incentive in war loot!

Yes. With 3 generals having to be redeployed after each attack, regardless of if they take any damage, the most you can get from war is 3000 oil. And that's with my 3 war generals being 28, 23, and 22. This also assumes the unlikely event of not ever losing planes or factory troops as well. Ridiculous.

Actually, if the general never takes a single point of damage the whole battle, you don't have to retrain them. But even 1 hp of damage, even if healed, means retrain. But yeah, it's easy to spend well over 10k oil per attack.

TinSoldier i would love to hear Nexon’s view on this and whether it is something that is in the pipeline? (Oil pun intended) I would suggest to Nexon that keeping active warrers incentivised to war will help give them a reason to keep playing this game, which is in everone’s best interest.
Nexon increased resource production during the 5 emperors event and then nerfed the production rates permanently. There was double war loot for a brief week a little while ago, surely a (meaningful) nerf in war loot is also long overdue....

Yes. The whole generals not being healed on the battlefield thing needs to go too. Especially with their new use as silo fodder. If they make it through unscathed after being healed by whatever method then they should be good to go. The odds of making it past the numerous traps, snipers, silo and everything else are remote at best. The fact that they're essentially expensive street sweepers and distractions has been an issue for far too long.

Every war, I used 8 troop cards, 54 NTG, 10k to 20k oil.

I am expecting something other then resource, like crowns

you wont ever get crowns from war and no one makes you buy those troop cards.

Well, I never buy troop cards, they all come from rewards.

And seems Nexon reduce the chance of troop cards from boat and chest, replace them with bless now.

There is no way you can sustain 8 troop cards a war from the free cards they give out.

Agreed LordJestix it’s nice thought but there is not a snowballs chance that Nexon will ever pay us in crowns to war :)

It would just be nice not to be so out of pocket with resources (read oil) after every war!

I got 2 troop cards per day, do 2 wars per week until they drop the rate recently

And I can save some cards for easy match.
