I currently play as part of the Germanic Empire. However the bug lies in the attack/defense/inbox log. I can attack only Mediterranean and Oriental Players (Chinese, Greeks, Japanese, Koreans, Romans). And the ones who can attack me are only French, Greeks, Romans and Koreans. Yes. Only those people attack me. When I check my log I see a Chevalier, Companion, Legion and Hwarang in every entry. Also it seems to mysteriously reset. Do you have the same or similar problem? Pls comment below.

I play Germans as well. I haven't noticed this, but then I haven't been looking for it, either. I'll try to pay closer attention from now on. It seems like it would have to be just a coincidence, though. I can't imagine any reason why they would match specific groups of nations vs other specific groups of nations.

Here are my past 20 attacks and past 20 defenses from most recent to last(I went into my game log and jotted them down with a pen)...

Attacks: Japanese, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Greek, Greek, Japanese, French, French, Korean, Korean, French, Roman, Greek, British, French, French, French.

So I was matched on the attack with: Koreans (3x), Greeks (4x), Japanese (3x), Chinese (2x), British (1x), French (6x), and Romans 1x.

Defense: Korean, Korean, Greek, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Greeks, Korean, Chinese, Chinese, British, Chinese, French, Romans, Chinese, Romans, Chinese, Romans, Koreans, French.

So I was matched on defense with: Koreans (5x), Greeks (2x), Japanese (1x), Chinese (6x), British (1x), French (2x) and Romans (3x)

Total number of matches combining all 20 attacks and defenses is: Koreans (8x), Greeks (6x), Japanese (4x), Chinese (8x), British (2x), French (8x), Romans (4x)

Now, keep in mind that I choose opponents based on how much loot they have and how vulnerable their bases are- not on nation (I hardly even notice that when I attack), so this is pretty random, although a few of my defenses represent revenge attacks from guys I raided. The matching system does seem to be a bit skewed towards asian and mediterranean nations and France, based on this sample- though I did get matched against british forces twice. I notice I never went up against any Germans like myself.

Coincidence? The way the matching system is designed? I have no idea. It may just be that we're hitting those nations more often because they're more popular to play. It's hard to say for sure, but I do seem to be pulling a very similar sample of nations as you- both on attack and defense.

At least you can attack British and French players. And I noticed you didn't attack German players and you happen to be Germans as well. Now let me see my statistics:

Defense: 5 Koreans, 5 Romans, 4 French, 2 Chinese, 2 Japanese, 1 British, 1 Greek. No Germans. And as I said, for a long time mostly Koreans, Romans, Greeks and French fill the inbox. British, Chinese, Japanese are rare. Germans are very rare. Strange.

Attack: 5 Chinese, 5 Romans, 4 Japanese, 2 Koreans, 1 British, 1 French, 1 German, 1 Greek. So, yes, I have attacked some North European players, but those were the result of the "Next Match" button. The first players I see are always Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Korean and Roman. But at least I have attacked 1 German.

Combined: 10 Romans. That's a whopping 1/4 of my attack log!
Chinese and Koreans - tied with 7 each.
6 Japanese
5 French
2 - shared with British and Greeks
1 German. It seems your own country is rare.

Areas: North European - 8
Mediterranean - 12
Oriental - 20. Wow!

Maybe because my country is North European, it may be why players from there rarely appear.

Yes, I think it may be that Germany is just not a popular nation to play. And it may be that the matching system is designed in such a way that you don't get matched against your own factions as often as the others (which has a sort of internal logic to it, I guess).

Somehow lately the amount of German attackers have increased. If only you can see my attack log, and you'll notice what happened. Also I noticed your attack nations are continuous. Mine is random, except there are very rare British, French and very rare Germans.

Now I'm Korean, and I can attack European players more often. I can attack Oriental players less. Does it matter on the world region?
