The old strategy games on PC such as Age of Empires etc all allowed you to allocate a variable number of citizens/workers to speed up building.
Wouldn't it be a neat idea if you could do the same with this?
For instance, an upgrade which would normally take 4 villagers an hour to complete; you can withdraw 1 or more villagers (until at least 1 remains) which would increase the upgrade time.
You could then also add any number of available workers to speed up the upgrade.
I'd love to be able to withdraw some of my villagers to do some hunting / gathering while my upgrades continue to be built.
Once I'm done, I would simply re-allocate them to the upgrade(s).
Not sure if this would be feasible, but I'd think it would make an interesting game mechanic and offer more flexibility.
