I picked the colosseum .. A few more foot soldiers added to the others can be quite daunting and overwhelming.

I do see why other people would choose the forbidden city but i thought the extra troops would be better in the long run.

I had the Forbidden city and Kremlin combo for a while. Worked like a charm at first, then the bloody brits came and 5 star me consistently. So out they went and in came statue of liberty and coloseum.

Anyone can come in, just like I can get gold out of almost any base I've seen. But every troop you deploy on my base is not going back. :)

The FC is usually left out there in a corner, easy to take. So I kind of miss the point here as in the end it's all about taking out the protected TC. I can't recall ever seeing a hugely-protected FC and a similarly protected TC in the same base...

Exactly ... The "spare" doesnt spawn troops and it doesnt get any love. It is too large to wrap in walls while other buildings get left in the cold.

The brits and artillery are a pretty lethal combo .. I just picked the kremlin to go along with my colosseum .. I'll let you know how that goes when i get the sucker built.

FC protect against the quick victory too! But if you are in low age the Notre Dame is the best and will save you weeks of playing later. It is not about economy, you will get better troop sooner with i!

I switched from FC to Colosseum a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. Strength of Gladiator is a game changer in war, and can be the difference between 2 stars and 5 stars, depending on when you use it. It's a 200% damage increase and 50% speed increase for 12 seconds.

Against the best alliances, offense is way more important than defense. Get your 10 stars and force your opponent to either be perfect or fail. That's my motto.

Since blessings are not available in wars, the SotG comes as an advantage. You get very little from the extra town center unless it is well protected.

I have the Colloseum and the Acropolis. When I first started nearly everything was expensive in food so I got the Pyramid. It became useless pretty quick so I switched for the Acropolis. Reading the comments I'm interested in the Terra Cotta army now.I wonder what the stats are on it.

It increases the health of nearby castles and barracks. It also allows you to summon the terra cotta army once a day. It's like the colosseum in that you get a bonus for offense, but the defensive side of it is no way comparable.

I disagree. Terra Cotta defense blows away Colosseum. You get a 15% boost to fort HP, which is huge -- means that you can't take out the fort with one zep/triplane bombing run.

I am now wiser into what the terra cotta actually provides now, thank you for your comment.

So take out the fort with archers AND a zep - or just archers - or artillery. What's the problem ??!!!
