When Nexon says greatly increased, it looks like those defenders HP is getting 250% HP boosted :D The new planes used to chew them in 1 pass. Good luck with it now. lol. I was still fielding rifles/howies army. I just think this will no longer be possible...

JNation You would be wrong if you thought MisterLaxx didn't spend money on the game... I watched 30 min of his last stream and he had 19 workers... Duh you needed to spend $30/$50 to buy the estate, also he had Elephant Armies just chilling in his stronghold.

Yea must be nice MisterLaxx to comment about supersonic mk6 fighters being used with mk7 heavy tanks (57,000 hp) and bragging about looting 10,000 fragments a day by attacking lv200 players who are 50 levels below you. You are such a good player... lawlz. You must spend 6-8 hours a day playing Dominations to get 30-70 fragments * 200 battles... what a boring life....

You neglected to answer my other question about provide an example of what level you are and attacking what level base which forces you to use a full army…

As far as spending money on the game, the estate doesn’t help plane attacks, plus if he wants to buy a bunch of 2* artifacts that’s his decision and that doesn’t guarantee he will get an artifact that he wants. The last stream he used planes not transport/paratroopers. Also, having elephant armies doesn’t mean you bough them considering there has been events in the past where you could acquire them. And Lastly, if you are as experience as you say you are (2 years of playing this game) then you should know that someone’s level is not the full picture of how difficult that base is. For example, if you neglected to upgrade your roads and all production buildings you could be seen as a low level player but defensively and/or offensively maxed out. (And before you try to make a point of saying “why did you ask me about my level and the level I’m attacking if levels aren’t the full picture” I’ll refer you to your statement about you claiming he is attacking players 50 level lower and you saying you can’t successfully-not taking out all defensive buildings- attack someone 10-20 levels lower) Regardless, on his last stream he dropped to 200 medals and raided from there on up. At 200 medals you will come across some pretty low level bases. I can only assume you didn’t watch any of his attack while being in empire league.. He has attacked bases above and near is level there and didn’t use a full army, and on occasion use tactics (heal).

The best way to reduce the number of 5* hits would be to remove all the inactive bases from matchmaking. They're a huge supply of soft targets.

Yes. If you war, you need 5 star victories to get NTGs. If Nexon wants us to play at higher medal ranges, give us NTGs some other way, like in the victory chest. Or make NTGs like the domination bonus; the harder the target and the better you do, the more you get. And make them guaranteed. For example, you get 1 NTG for 3 starring a base 1 age lower than your self, 2 for 4 stars, 3 for 5 stars. For a base the same age, 2, 3, and 4. For a base one age higher, 3, 4 and 5. The extra NTG if you have the perk would stay the same.

1 Tank destroyer + 1 General
Use 1-2 decoy tactics
Limited losses ~5 greenjack loss, 5* QV lv 250 or less

After Stage 2 Rebalance

Medal Range 3000+
58 GreenJacket, 7 Field howitzer, 2 healing trucks, 3 vet zooka, 2 engineer, 4 mk6 strike fighters
6 demo, 1 healing
3 generals, 3 tank destroyer, 1-2 dock TT
Heavy losses, all tactics used, 3* victory against 200-240

I could drop down to 400 medals and prey on global age without missile silos under lv200, but where is the fun in that? Also, that wouldn't make me a better player for WW where I'm forced to attack lv220-260 3D bases.

I know that even people who were excited about stage two (and trust me they were very FEW who were thrilled with the idea of impossible to beat bases) after having played now for two weeks with this new game (cause it def isn’t the same game I paid for) people are really getting ready to throw in the towel. The people who can actually beat 3D maxes Cold War bases were few before these changes. Now people who were able to get 5 stars are lucky to get one. People who’ve been playing this game for years and been dedicated PAYING consumers of this game are ready to throw in the towel.

All this making the defenses unbeatable is insanity to me. This is essentially an attacking game. We wouldn’t play and def not PAY to play a game we can’t win. That would be masochistic. And now we read about even more defense buffs.... are you trying to make us all change to German? Because as a Brit, my puny little rifles.. that extra range is nothing when it takes so long to take down a building. And the Heavy Tank Defense is already insane. Bunkers are now everything and scarier than a fort (which seems a little crazy to me) and now if I understand correctly, they r only gonna be even more powerful. So, now defense troops are way stronger than our offense troops. So, u don’t want it seems for Cold War folks to be able to be beaten at all.

It makes me not want to advance my alt account past industrial. Prior to rebalance my main account, when I was Industrial I could beat bases without troop tactics all the time. Moving to global (pre rebalance) I saw a need for TT in attacking my level or higher in MP or war. But now with this rebalance, u can’t beat ur age base without TT hardly at all.
I, personally, don’t mind using troop tactics. I love that aspect of the game. But, it’s disheartening to see my fellow alliance members who r Cold War feel so defeated.

I thought part of this whole rebalance was the hope that more people would use full attacks in MP and to discourage looting. Well, I can promise you, the opposite is what’s been done. When u know ur gonna lose ur army in mp, it makes u either not wanna attack at all or start learning to loot the way others do.

Also, Russians are insane. They need to be nerfed or either an offensive coalition wh9 can match it needs to be put in place.

So basically they post the changes that r to be coming without the numbers so we can either expect the worst... or hope for the best.... and hopefully once the numbers r released it won’t be quite as bad as we had imagined.... lol. I remember people thinking the decoys were gonna be taken down by 1/2..... lol lol lol and it was like what 1/8 of what it was at it’s lowesr level 😂
New motto.... expect the worst and just know it will be even worse than the worst u can possibly imagine.

Ok, I appreciate you getting back to me.
I’m not British so I cant tell you much about your particular line up, however I’m just curious, you dropped the APC after the rebalance. Did you find them to be less effective? I apologize; I don’t use APC so I’m unfamiliar with their stats. I also feel that after the next rebalance your zooka will be a great addition to your line up. Another question, you went from 2500+ to 3000+ medals, im curious as to why? Better loot, better bases….

Well, u r doing better than most players in my alliance. They r lucky to get a star on maxed 3D CW bases. And prior to rebalance they were great attackers. They have been playing the game since the beginning and were actually excited about stage 2... after playing stage 2 changes for 2 weeks and rarely being able to star these hard CW 3D bases, they r ready to walk away.

No base should be unbeatable. I don’t get their desire to make it that way. We don’t play for our bases to be unbeatable (or at least I don’t). I play to beat bases. That’s where the fun and joy and adrenaline comes in. If u take away that ability, u make the game unfun. Not many people are gonna stick around and def aren’t gonna keep pouring money into a game they can no longer win. Changing the rules this far into the game is truly, to me,
Ike a bait and switch.

It almost feels like these people are evil geniuses sitting around all day thinking “what other ways can we make it dang near impossible for these suckers to lose and still pay my salary?” That’s the craziest thing to me, u would think the developers would grasp that it’s us players who essentially keep them in a job. If all the paying gamers leave, how long with Nexon keep paying a people to work on a game that is no longer profitable for them? R they trying to program their way out of jobs???

Agree with all u said, but lately instant retrain has been twice a day for me! I noticed it this weekend. I always use mine in the AM... Sat night it let me do it again.... Sun morning, I used it and Sun night it was again available. So, I think every 12 hours now u get an instant retrain.

APCs get shredded by redoubts now and trading them in for heavy artillery/field howitzer was more helpful with the 250% hp defense increase. Mostly wanted to test my skill and strength against the best players to see how my army holds up after the re-balance, also the victory chest is 5 M food/gold or 25000+ oil for that medal range so I just try to hit that cap each day and then stop playing.

I'm mostly just upset that Mk7 HT/Mk6 SS Fighter is the only viable option now after the re-balance. There isn't a single attack on my base that has been 5* in the past few weeks after stage 1/2 rebalance, and that's including people lv250+ with HT armies.

The vet zooka splash damage and hp/dmg increase may help, but it probably won't be offset enough by the defense troops hp increase.

My alliance is already dead :) We all stopped raiding, upgrading things, basicly we stopped playing. We gather in wekends for the weekly war and that's it. We used to war continuosly, now once in a week or sometimes two. We are still in the top 100, but that won't be for long. Top 100 now belongs to cheating alliances.
I really don't understand how this company is thinking, how do they come to these decisions? Maybe they are some kind of ununderstood geniuses or maybe this is their way of closing the game.

Ok, I think im understanding a little more of your frustration now. I agree the HP boost was a big jump and for certain buildings I thought were unnecessary. Being that we are only at stage 2 and pending stage 3 its tough to say how exactly the game play will be when all stages have been rolled out. Rolling them out slowly one by one gives us these times where we are attacking with the odds stacked up against us. I will agree that cost reduction for tactics was probably the mostly useless change they implemented. I can honestly say that I never paid attention to the cost of tactics but rather the time it takes training them. I will say that having Amelia finished had changed the game immensely for me.

That's pretty much where I'm at too. A month ago I had five accounts and was giving some thought to making ten and seeing if I could be a one man alliance. Since then I haven't bothered logging in to any of them but my main. The two new irons I quit weeks ago. The global and industrial that I'd mostly played between rebuilds on my main haven't been touched in ten days. As for my main, I quit going to wars with it and builds take such an excruciatingly long time in CWA that it's pretty much self-sufficient. If I can be bothered to log into it I'll do six HT mk. 7 attack, enough to get my two victory chests, and call it a day.

So if the intention was to give me much more free time in my day this rebalance has been an unbridled success!

Yes, I understand the response coming from this forum and other places in the community.

These changes have been made in large chunks to prevent dragging the reblance process out over a huge period of time. DomiNations is in a unique place being a live game for over 3 years, and I can understand that change can be difficult. We are aiming to keep a strong strategy sense in the core elements of gameplay, and strike a balance that is fun and challenging.

It was a success, they have effectively controlled our game play by forcing people to change to the new strats. A bonus to them is you will lose more units or you can "crown" your way back into game play with all those unnecessary changes ;). I'm quitting I've had enough of this nerf this nerf that which normally follows a new unit release. Not a rebalance of units that have been around for years. I've paid my dues to Nexon but not anymore, they can keep their gambling game and I will go back to another game.
