On the heels of the recent update, I'm curious. How are people feeling about the direction the devs are taking in making modifications to the game? As players and forum posters, many of us are here every day. We play, we read, we make suggestions. We're all trying hard to improve the game.

So here's my question: how enthusiastic are you feeling right now, about recent changes to the game and how they will impact your experience going forward?

Okay, maybe the "deeply depressed" line is an exaggeration, but come on guys, almost none of our requests have been addressed. We really need improved ai, reduced troop building times, and alliance activities. Many other suggestions have been made. Some people may be satisfied with very little, but if the goal is enthusiasm, pick a handful of our requests to include with each update. Listening to us and turning our suggestions into reality would really improve the mood of this forum.

You're asking me, right? I'd like an unbiased vote, but I'd be surprised if people generally indicate that they're enthusiastic about the changes. I have a pretty good understanding of what's been requested by forum posters, and very little has been included in updates. So my expectation is that people would not find that satisfying. My goal in creating this vote is to show the devs that people aren't satisfied with their update. My hope is that they will see that and change the way they do updates.

Dbukalski, your alliance is clearly doing well on the leader boards. You should be proud of that fact. And yes, I've thought of the reasons why. Mostly, it's because you recruit many of the top players. That would be respectable if you did so without using every thread to push your alliance on people.

I'm not sure you're doing much good by indicating to the devs that you're thrilled with their performance, but that's up to you.

What usually ruins most games is when the devs start doing what the most vocal players ask rather than what is best for all players.

thats funny because a week ago before the update the leaderboards were dominated by germans, asians, russians.

our highest ranked member was like 23rd and then u had to go even further to start finding more usa elite players

we only have a couple nearly maxed out building players and no one is maxed out walls. im the closest to that mark

we actually kick out maxed out wall players and many have tried to join. so basically u dont know what ur talking about. you look at our success and decide that we started with top players and ended up with a top alliance

we actually started with above normal (not cheating paying) players and worked our way to the top. in the process those above normal players became top players and now we have 2x usa elite alliances at the top

we recruited on the forum and the best players on the forum saw the value and came. others joined us from inside the game system.

NOW our alliance is starting to have top medal players because 200 players sharing ideas is better than a handful of cheaters propping up other alliances.

cheaters dont know how to help others perform well. they got to the top in ways others cant follow. usa elite blazes the trail for our members in a way they can duplicate to the top

While Ive been reading and lurking for sometime and find many valuable perspectives here, this poll will only really provide opinions its easy to see from posts anyhow, from such a small group.

I agree Auriga. This forum tends to be a cesspool of negativity that I don't see in my alliance or friends/family playing the game. I'm excited for alliance wars and to see how the game evolves over the next year. It's still relatively young for this genre.

its representative of the top non paying non cheating players. it doesnt represent the cheaters payers. they exist in another dimension. and it doesnt represent the bottom players their clueless and dont care about details. their good therough classical then quit to move on to the next game that offers them 30 min upgrades

If you did not update, you should not vote on this poll... I think Aurelius made it for those who did update...

You really make it inviting for beginners to join and stay on the forum, dbukalski with your stereotype picture of starting players, or as you like to call them,... noobs or newbies.
Maybe it is an idea to be a bit more friendly towards those starting players, instead of calling them clueless ?

the question was if the forums represent the players. i said the forum represents the top non paying non cheating players. since ur on the forum u can slide into that category.

As a general response to some questions asked above, guys, I think everyone here genuinely likes this game, and hopes to improve it. We are all going about that in our own ways.

My way may not be ideal, but what I've been trying to do is get forum posters to collectively request that the devs make some important improvements to the game. I do think they're dramatically missing the mark in their updates. Someone needs to let them know. Ideally, we'd do it together in a productive and respectful way.

As to negativity, I think the source is two-fold. First, I think people feel daily frustration related to playing the game. That frustration is often vented here. Second, our hope with each update is that some of these issue will be fixed. However, the updates have not addressed our primary concerns, and they have created new ones.

I'd be happy to discuss these matters in more detail, either with forum posters or mods.

Please feel free to join in the conversation. As far as I'm concerned, you're more than welcome. I'd suggest that game improvement suggestions would be more valuable than criticisms of others posts, but I'll leave that up to you.

(And I say that even with the understanding that those suggestions might be the death of the game...)
