Defensive betrayal?

Hi all;

In the last couple of wars some of my alliance members have been complaining of a screen flash followed by the offensive deployed troops to turn. It sounds like betrayal, but I thought that was an offensive tactic to be deployed by the attacker. I haven't seen it myself yet. Does anybody know what this might be?

I've never seen this happen. It shouldn't be possible. Betrayal is definitely an offensive move. Unless there's some higher level coalition I'm not aware of.

I don't think that is possible. Purely offensive.
