The amount of tears in this thread can solve the water shortages in the dry areas of the world. It's not like they are placing real cash fee for advancing in age.

Well people are using what gets the job done. Nexon would be able to clearly see that, with the stats at their disposal.
It's too late to 'balance' troops after all this time so Nexon are in a constant loop of cause and effect, as evidenced by the new Rocket Arsenal.

Yeah this is getting horrible. Ive said it many times before...Nexon is doing these changes as a way to kill the game off. Its quite apparent thats their intention so they can devote more resources to other newer games.

Ive seen it happen before in other wildly popular games that quickly died after changes very similar to what Nexon is doing now.

Finally adapting to silo this spawning bazooka crap will be the final nail in Dominations coffin for many players.

Having a place to hear and respond to comments is important. Some design decisions are introduced in order to benefit the balance of the game at large, and not a particular play style. The team likes to evaluate the comments here as well as the overall player trends.

Thank you very much for the continued feedback!

The Winter for the Ages event was fun to run! We took a lot of feedback on how the Summer event went, and adjusted some of the schedule to be an overall more productive period. We intend to keep these learning and improvements for future events!

3 answers and a response!

- Bug fixes and improvements to the game are included with every update. They are prioritized based on their impact to the game at large. The last update featured unit pathing updates that should have helped the lag on some devices.
- Our Customer Service team does ban and roll back the accounts of cheaters and hackers. We investigate every claim, to avoid banning players that may have wound up in a broken state on accident. These matters are handled with digression, and not discussed with the community at large. DomiNations features the Middle Ages - but doesn't follow in the punishments of that era.
- Mods are not limited in their responses, but will not engage in threads if A.) it's a community discussion or B.) it would promote increased visibility on an exploit. It is easier to discuss a thread with objective bugs (like Bear Fur) than subjective design decisions (like unit balance).

Since I've stared as Community Manager, we have taken strides to engage new and different segments of the community with new and different platforms. The development team at large does read the forums. I would love to have an army of folks to answer questions, but we also believe that some of the best discussions that arise are among players!

Haile Selassie is for the Cold War, much like Hiawatha and Mansa Musa benefit the earlier ages. It seems a little odd if you've been playing since before these leaders were added, but the idea is that there are University leaders 'meant' for each age range.

There have been a number of University leaders proposed and are being worked on currently. If I recall correctly, Emperor Moctezuma's portrait was released as a 'coming soon' image when the University was released, but only recently made his debut. Empress Wu is much the same.

Personal opinions are a great place for feedback to begin. Thank you so much for yours!

These changes are part of larger balance changes to DomiNations in the same way we recently saw increases to the Mortar unit. It's a continuing process to add fun new things to the game and balance them for offense and defensive use.

There have been a number of Alliances that are curious on how a World War can feel so unbalanced at first glance. Boost Details should help give insight to the enemies strength more than their Age and level can.

"Mortar troops overpowered and used by all alliances" lol.
Not by any top alliance player I have ever warred with. Rarely used by anyone as the AI is pathetic, and even with maxed uni and library buffs a complete waste of time as they normally are attacking defences that have already been killed as they lag behind.
Nexon have reduced cost and build time to try and salvage the unit, wish they would put the effort into fixing bugs first.
Just add mortars to the ever growing list of useless troops incl attack helo ,assault vehicle, MRL etc

The most intersting part for me was the buff details. Thanks for that. But now I would like to talk more about CW release.
When the game reached to CW I expect more changes! Actually we have just new levels for old units and a couple of new units that can't change the game mechanism (I have tested MRL and almost sure that other units ex bazooka are more efficient than MRL; MRL is not a game changer at all). Historically by passing through ages lots of things have changed. Some weapons and units are withdrawn and replaced by new things but in Dominations we are attacking with almost same units from enlightenment to cold war!! We still are attacking with shooters and howitzers more or less! Have a look on real wars in CW era, how close is this to real war mechanism in that era?
In ancient ages the game is more similar to real history but in recent ages it's almost similar to a game that just want earn money. There are lot's of potential in this game, I hope you could reveal it.
Among all you have released with CW there are just 2 units that are really belong to CW and can change the attack systems; Spy and Ka25 assault helicopter which prioritize tanks similar to Cobra helicopters! And unfortunately both of this real cold war units are not available in barracks or factory!

You're probably right about new leader pictures but that was just a non sense comment. Moctezuma was the latest leader but even at gunpowder age you can research the first 3 tiers before it requires you to upgrade. At industrial you can finish the entire tree so at least most of everything on that leader are available to nearly everyone playing and that's been true of every leader to an extent. My comment was just that the new leader would strictly only be for Cold war age which would be a first.

I guess it's all about how people react. Personally when I lose an attack or take much longer on an attack than I initially thought, I don't immediately think that something with that base is fishy and I need to see some concrete data to explain why. I know that the primary reason is that I didn't attack as well as I could have, perhaps I underestimated the base and brought low end troop cards thinking it was a push over base, or really I just sucked balls that attack. All the numbers are available on the wiki forum and you can at least come up with numbers. Top alliances have been doing that forever using spread sheets, calculators and etc. I wouldn't look at the data and think wow they have an extra 3% more research in mortar damage, that's why we lost. If we had only researched another lvl into our offensive coalitions we would've won that fight.
The other thing that isn't mentioned is when you get to see this data. Would you view it immediately after a battle? In the case of war, how about only see it once the war is finished because there's already a replay function to deal with. My lone opinion isn't going to stop this system from going into effect but really, adding new features in the game tends to add just as many bugs or unforeseen issues just like the town center radius problem. No one planned to increase the range, it just happened as some weird byproduct. I know there was no intent there and it's annoying but people are just using more decoys to counter (Assuming you have decoy). There's no way to know for sure any of the data shown is absolutely correct just as the battle replays are not always correct. I really hate trying to study my own attack to see how I could improve and it shows me a path that I didn't even take. It will just lead more people to accuse others of hacking seeing some weird number just as the replays show 100 planes being used but we know that didn't actually happen. I don't know what alliances are asking for this but none that I've heard of.

Now defense is overpowered and under-powered in same time
in one hand, it is impossible to bring down a maxed base, in other hand, limited worker number make defense upgrade nearly impossible.

We are looking for more workers, shorter upgrade time, and buff in attacking.

My Cold War opinion:
  • Very soft content update by comparison to global and atomic. Given the wait it was underwhelming to be honest.
  • Space Age “Coming Soon” please get rid of the commentary. If your boss said you were getting paid “soon” you would assume within the month at most. Change to “Under Development”.
  • Barracks expertise is a nice way of introducing new troop upgrades and buffs. Well done there.
  • Merc camp troops are bad, many still use the 3 tank destroyers. My view is the new content there needs buffing to make more appealing.
  • Library - oil seep buff? LOLOLOL? Tells me devs aren’t in touch with the game. Otherwise it’s decent content. Extra research slot is great!
  • Armour really needs a 3rd slot as the content is just incredible and timely however the 2nd is a great step forward.
  • MRL is barley used which is a shame because it looks cool. I’m not sure what to suggest as a change.
  • 220 level cap was a great idea to prevent content rush.
  • Visual changes to buildings are great.
My 6.1 opinion:
  • Decoy trap cool tactic and nice idea, very annoying trap to attack. Well done!
  • Claymore is borderline useless against 98% of attacks. Most infantry can take the hit with heals behind them and decoy tactic ets dropped in front of most heavy art+rifles any how. Needs a buff or some rework.
  • Signal flare is great if: all of the planets and moons align within our solar system and you happen to attack during that instant from the precise spot required. Double range would resolve the issue.
  • Dock is cool I guess one day when workers are free maybe? More uni research is required to remove citizens from this all together.
My 6.2 opinion:
  • Museum sounds cool however would like to know more about it.
  • New leader is always great news and a new set building sounds cool. Guessing this will be the top tier so will take some time?
  • Forest expansions, hmm ok I guess. I still have 2 the game tells me “There are no further expansions available”.
  • Stats overview for upgrades - honest feedback you’re wasting our time. A very small amount of players may be interested in this. Check out ideas and feature request forum for something of genuine interest.
General Opinion:
  • Love the game however get frustrated at a few things I’ll list somewhere below.
  • Not enough new players coming up through the ages. Please consider halving upgrades or citizens or something for Global and below to increase atomic and cold pool. Ages events are fantastic however maybe a month each?
  • Alliance levels are great. Please introduce more along with a way for smaller alliances to get percs like originally discussed. Multiplayer wins, etc. It’s long overdue.
  • Forum moderators please get more involved in discussions. Seems like you’re active when plugging something then quiet for months. We want to debate and discuss opinions.
  • Museum is cool don’t get me wrong but hey look into the ideas and feature request forum for new things. Players are feeding you great stuff they want to spend money on but you’re missing the mark there to do your own thing.
Frustrations:
  • Lack of communication from support. Many players myself included refuse to email support because we’ve done it once and frankly they don’t listen. It’s worse than talking to a brick wall.
  • Alliances need an ability to remove inactive leaders. It’s not a hard problem to address.
  • Glory decay for inactive alliances. Another one fairly easy to address.
  • When crowning alliance troop request it often vanishes. Waste of 9 crowns. Ties into useless chat that many active alliances don’t use. Most are using discord or line. No solution, just a frustration of mine and shouldn’t be an issue in 2018 for a game.
  • Smarter usage of removing things from inventory is required. All or nothing is ridiculous.

Am l the only one who thinks Haile Selassie is a curious choice for leader?
Despite the fact that his self appointed name translates as Power of the Trinity, he is known for his multiculturalism, progressive reforms and abolition of slavery.
At the same time he is known for his ethnic cleansing, condoning of slavery for a big part of his rule and oppressive ruthlessness against dissidents. In fact, he was so well liked he was ignominiously deposed in a coup d'etat!
And l fail to see how a modern building like the rocket arsenal can be connected to a man who was no military genius and who's country was liberated by others.
Yes, a curious choice indeed.

Museum will introduce alliance quests, and after finishing them you can choose some new items for boosting your base. I hope there will be blessing for training planes and generals recovery time.
