Extra villagers are not permanent = fraud or bug?

Long before Atomic age I bought the extra house to get two more villagers/workers. It was advertised as additional workers. It was not advertised as unlocking another house early. Recently it came to my knowledge by an alliance member that he could built another house when entering Atomic age. But I was not able to do so. In other words: The "extra" house was not really additional, because with Atomic age everyone can build this house anyway. As the "extra" house and workers were advertised as additional instead of unlocking early -- if it's not a bug then this is fraudulent to the players who spent money for it. So, basically Nexon needs to fix it and give us actually an additional house as they advertised it, or they need to give a full refund. Otherwise this is fraud on purpose.

It is indeed a fraud. I wrote to support and they say it was only unlocking before Atomic age. But at the time I purchased it, there was no Atomic age, nor did they advertise it as an unlocking thing. They advertised it as extra/additional. I will request a refund through Google play store and advise all players who had been tricked into buying this too to request a refund through Google. Another thing: the mansion... Applying the same logic, then the mansion is also not extra? Will all other players be able to just build it in an upcoming age? See?! Nexon tricked players into believing the house was a permanent advantage, not telling them that it will be obsolete in Atomic age. If you give this to a lawyer, Nexon will have to refund everyone who purchased the "extra" house/villagers.

If you bought something and made use of it, how were you defrauded? If you paid for it but didn't get it, that would be fraud.
You got an extra house with extra citizens and you got to keep them forever, which is how l remember it.

Point being they did not get an *extra* house. They just unlocked a house earlier than everybody else. Their argument with the estate is valid. Tomorrow if they release the cold war age, and everybody can build the estate as a building for 12 million gold (or whatever), then nobody who purchased the estate has an "advantage", which it was advertized as.

I wouldn't go so far as calling it "fraud", but it was a bit misleading nonetheless.

Lol, if you want to see it that way, then yes, I suppose you're correct. It really hinges on the semantics of the word "extra". :)

We've had this discussion before and I'm still amazed they haven't changed the wording on it. All other offers in game correctly say "unlock" a unit, etc when you are unlocking it early. However, for the houses, it says "extra", which most reasonable players interpret as a permanent additional house, not just unlocking it early. The wording really needs to be changed to say it's an EARLY UNLOCKED house.

I believe the thinking here is that you can unlock an 'extra' house at your current Age.
I can be sure the team is aware of this thread.

At the bare minimum, it should state that the house is from an upcoming age. I remember when I first bought the extra house, the Industrial age upgrade preview still said I got a house when upgrading to Industrial age. Of course once I did so, I was not able to build another house because I had already purchased it. But NOWHERE was this fact disclosed in-game or the forums. Only after a massive backlash did BHG even admit what the house actually was. New players still have no way of knowing what they are purchasing unless they get the info from outside the game.

Many of us in our alliance felt this was shady at the time. The wording when we bought the "extra" house was definitely misleading. Clearly false advertising. I would never have bought it otherwise.

It was so long ago that we've moved on but it's always bothered me. We also warn new players not to buy it when we explain how it works. They thank us profusely because that wasn't their understanding on how it worked.
