I recently switched to french, I'm industrial age and I play 25 shock infantry, 18 riflemen, 4 st chamond, 3 supply truck, 4 bombards + 3 gurkhas and 1 flammpanzer
3 artillery + 3 black watch from my allies
any advice??

im the same age and nation. my army mix for war is 5 tanks, 4 artillery, 3 healers, 1 wall breaker, 19 shooters and 5 foot. i usually request 30 special archers (british, korean, chinese) as donations and bring 2 flame panzers and 2 triplanes

4-5 footmen is enough - maybe lose a healer then replace them with riflemen. Ranged infantry is what gets the job done. If you're getting 3 artillery donated then maybe also get rid of a bombard and add some more shooters? 30-40 riflemen is a good mix.

Anyway I use 3 tanks, 7 bombards aka howitzer, 2 trucks, 3 footies and the rest rifles around 30. French tanks are tough so don't need as many & I steal other people's with betrayal.

When I was in Industrial Age, I went with the following composition for wars:
4 tanks
4 artillery
3 supply trucks
1 raider
35 riflemen
2 biplanes

Mercenary army: 2 Flampanzer tanks and 1 Hessian Heavy Cavalry
Donated units: 3 artillery
Tactics: dependent on the base to be attacked

Sometimes, I've changed the composition slightly, as follows:
3 tanks
5 artillery
3 supply trucks
1 raider
36 riflemen
2 biplanes

I use a special trick that no one here seems to know about. If you twist 4 tanks, squeeze in 10 infantry, sprinkle on 15 riflemen and put a biplane on the top you get this amazing transformer giant robot that rampages through the enemy base. Super cool! Must be an easter egg....

tactics : 3 treason, 2 sabotage

mercenaries : 2 flammpanzer and 1 random

from my allies : 3 artillery, 3 riflemen

and of course 2 generals

Is this for war or for regular raiding? Either way I use 4 tanks, 5 siege, 2 healers, and the rest shooters. 3 triplanes. No footies or raiders (unnecessary). Unless it's war, I don't use alliance troops, mercs, or generals, and I rarely use tactics.
