How the heck do I defend my bronze age city against archers?

I keep coming back to my city to find that it has been defeated by archers. They have a huge range, well beyond the range of my towers. All the attacking player has to do is deploy a few archers around the outskirts of town and they just work their way in, destroying buildings as they go. They can stand well out of the range of my towers to destroy them, and my Garrison doesn't church out enough guys to take them out. I'm (probably obviously) pretty new to DomiNations, so I'd appreciate any advice!

u dont defend. not until medieval age can u defend adequately. the best u can do pre medieval is spread ur buildings out with defensive im between

also after u spread out put walls around ur individual defensive buildings.
