Is it worth it to come back

I took a month long break starting Jan 1st and am suppose to return on Feb 1st after desensitizing from everything. Truth be told I don’t know if I want to return. I’ve played since almost the beginning and am lvl 257 CWA. I didn’t mind the changes which were brought on by Nexon even though they were always trying to get more from us. Being away this month I can truly say beside my team (The Unknown) I don’t miss the game at all. Just realized game has new update and it sounds depressing. What is the advice from the forum? Much appreciation for any suggestions.

Just keep playing. Ignore this forum negativity. Many people are still playing, they don't even visit this forum at all. I even doubt if #1 player on the leaderboard ever visited here lol. People just want to vent sometimes.

There is no improvement in the game. And once again Nexon has successfully adding more new bugs to the game in the update this month.

If you have moved forward and find that you dont missed the game at all, why should you look back?

Look back to 2015. No war, no stronghold. Highest age was enlightenment. Was it better atm? No I don't think so. That was the reason I quitted atm.
And now I continue playing

I've been criticizing many decisions towards our game, but can't deny that many changes have been made for good, too. It all depends on our adaptability to a new feature/change and our patience for an idea to be implemented, after all

I'm playing also from the beginning (2015 March) and I'm only lvl. 72 in Gunpowder Age...
I don't get it how can you collect so much resources to advance that quick... And how can you defend them! My base gets raided every hour for half of the resources I had...
Should never have started with this game... all the grinding, for staying up all night to keep logged in, while the last few coins and food is needed to start upgrades to farms and caravans...
If I could get that time back now... but I can't, I believe... need to stay online, need to stay online... That's the best way to defend your resources...

Yes there are several of you all in one alliance who all post pro nexon(no matter what they did) who also all post consecutively right after one another almost as if your the same person.

I am bored someone ruined my favorite hobby. My alliance went from 3 25 player wars a week to 1 10 player war a week so yes they are not very active anymore however I will never play another war as long as the war museum exists.

A very active player can make it to 180 atomic in one year. My brother(quit after stage 4) did it and he did not hack or cheat. He spent a little $ but he is a crazy gamer. Protect your resources by upgrading defense and leave your town center out so everyone who attacks gives you a shield.

No. If you've been away this long they certainly haven't improved things in your absence, imo. However, probably the best thing about this game nowadays is you can play as much or as little as you like if you don't bother with wars. Your village will always be there in pretty much whatever state you left it, minus a few minor repairs. So it's certainly worth booting it up and playing for an hour, a day, a month and seeing for yourself.

As an aside I also happen to be a 257 CWA who passed the 3 year mark back in November so the original post feels like it could've been written by me. To the Dominations team's credit there's no other game that I've played daily for over three years. At one point I had six accounts I floated between. I certainly don't regret the $200 I've spent in that time. But each long-standing bug, hamfisted push toward pay-to-win, ongoing communication and transparency issues, update that adds things nobody wants and breaks basic functionality has chipped away at my enthusiasm.

That's just one person's opinion and I'm glad others are still enjoying the game. Maybe that'll be enough to keep it going if/when I decide to check it out again

In my opinion, the world war aspect of the game is non-functional and should be avoided do to mismatched battles and rampant cheating with little response from Nexon. By not participating in wars you may not find much use being in an alliance where you will constantly listen to all the complaining about the game. My solution has been to avoid alliances altogether and just farm and do a few raids now and then as needed to start upgrades etc. I keep my citizens working and hope one day that Nexon makes a course correction to bring integrity to the war mechanisms. I do still love the beauty of the detail and artwork of this game, but I don’t really play or support it anymore.

!!! You sir are playing the game wrong. There is no other explanation....I started an alternative account, and got to level 81, almost max medieval in less than 3 months and all that without any serious raiding....All this time, I had only 1 attack on my defence log....And I am 100% honest with this.
