It’s time to reduce the Old University Leaders’ study times

Where does it end?
In 2019 new players will be old players and the new 2019 players will want times halved, which will be a quarter of what they were.
Then, in 2020 they'll be old players and the new 2020 players will want times halved, which will be 12% of what it used to be.
Where does it end, will Uni times be instantaneous in 2021 or 2022?
I don't care about compensation for things I've already researched or upgraded because I've enjoyed the benefits of already having those things done. However, I wouldn't mind something as a reward. If Nexon reduced Uni times for new players and gave older players bonus crowns equal to 10% of the research cost/time of already completed upgrades, THEN I would vote for reducing Uni times.
Just a thought.

PS: instead of complaining about how long things take, new players could be asking us for advice on the best researches or how to prioritise their researches. It's not the same but it's a lot more than we had when the Uni first came out.

It doesn't matter

even reduce all upgrade time before CWA by half, we will still lead new joiner a lot

This idea hits the nail on the head. I've also wondered why the Uni needs workers and the library does not. Well actually, we all know why! ;)
Instead of making Uni researches shorter for new players only, how about increasing workers for everyone? For example, as an anniversary reward, eh Nexon? :D
If we all had more workers everyone would benefit. New players would be able to progress quicker than we did. Older players would not feel that they're being disadvantaged.
And, to the inevitable cry of ''but we new players will still be behind older players, blah blah blah'' accept the fact that new players will ALWAYS be behind older players.
That's not a disadvantage, that's called simple mathematics. If people can't accept that basic fact they would be better of playing candy crush. Or some sort of colouring game.

Yeah this is the best solution to add more workers for all the players that really everyone need it due to adding more leaders & forests affects old players either but as far as I doubt they do this because of 💸 $$, then at least that can be useful idea for the New players!

We removed required medal from our alliance to let New players join in order to balancing our war team and also help them to advance, New Players occasionally joins but most of them leave the game after a while... 90% of those who leave are between BronzeA & GunA ... they found the game hard and boring

I am a CWA player who has completed research on five leaders and have spent more than I care to admit on this game, but the idea of cutting time across the board doesn't bother me one bit. It would (hopefully) bring fresh blood into the game, and I could still take advantage of it for the leaders that I have neglected up to this point.

Early adopters always pay more, so I don't really get the "it's not fair!!" argument. That shiny new iPhone you paid $1000 for will sell on ebay for 200 bucks in a couple of years. It's the natural cycle of any product, and unless you want the game to die in the interest of "fairness" you should support any attempts to make the game more accessible for new players.

Currently, Poland Page showing 9400 players upgraded into CWA, less than 1% of player base
And there are 60K Atomic players, less than 5% of player base

Most of top alliances are complainning hard to recruit late game players after some of their members quited game

this makes it sound as if IA-GA is where the game really is at, and CWA is a beta test.. as in they’re not behind, its we who are too fast

Sadly, Global is similar to AA, 5% population as well, IA give another 10%.
Gunpowder / Enlightenment is where the game really, they contributed about 40% population

It perfectly explain why players complaining that developer got no sense of game play after EA

Then l would say Dominations is not for them. These players want something that gives them a quick reward.
Dominations is not that game. Its a marathon, a long term goal, a journey.
Grownups play Dominations. Kids can go play Sonic Dash. :D

Good reply.
Although Dominations is not for everyone, especially players who want quick rewards or want a short sprint.
Dominations is not Sonic Dash or Subway Surfers. It's a marathon, a long term goal, a journey.
People who play this game must know that from the beginning, or it leads to frustration and endless complaints on the forum!

Actually,University's time has reduced by around 50% compared its original requirement (-1 worker, 40% time reduce).

At this moment, major work is come from defense building upgrade.

I believe (as others have pointed out) adding Chief Hiawatha and Mansa Musa were ways to reduce times on previous leaders.

I'm not currently aware of any planned balance changes for the University, but there's the possibility of discount events that cover research.

Wooo. Discounts on things that cost a trivial amount of resources, except Amelia and Haille. Why don't you guys start mixing in rush events in lieu of sales every now and then? Maybe every 4-6 weeks have events where things finish in half the time if started during the event. With hundreds of upgrades in later ages it's not like this will effect balance too much but it would at least show you're listening. Probably would sell more crowns as people try to take advantage of the time discounts too.

There are no time reductions for oil researches, and for some leaders, like Leonardo, the research time is quite long. We're talking about 6 months just for the oil research with Leo, and requires 7 workers (which also don't get a reduction). That's ridiculous.

Setting up new leaders with shorter times is a totally different concept vs. changing existing leaders. New leaders is a great way to make tweaks. Actually much better than adjusting things behind the scenes.

you can build atomium to reduce university research time by 10 % + Leonardo has another 10% and king seizing has 1 less worker it still not enough but it's still better then get kicked in the balls

TinSoldier, obviously you and those who pointed out didn't get the point!
Those leaders to reduce time and citizen cost on university consume a huge time by themselves for completing themselves!

Besides, any event that does not involve time reduction is useless for university!

Yes Manifesto whenever someone joins us I tell them this game isn't for 6 months more like 2-3 years. That way the new players know where they stand with this game.

Anything worthwhile takes an effort.
If everything was easy everyone would be bored and this game would've been over 18mths ago.
