I'm not putting this in the requested features section because this has been talked about many times in many different ways. Instead I wanted to discuss whether the community feels there is a place for Navy units in the game.

To provide some kind of introduction; this new unit could add a whole new dimension into gameplay much like air units or factory troops. Navy units would (obviously) deploy in the water to the right of the game map and could provide long range support to ground troops. To counter this, players could utilise buildings like the sniper tower to be able to shoot this target from range, and make attacking players think about appropriate attack strategies.

To further counter this, we could see the introduction of special defense buildings which target naval units, or perhaps even new types of defender spawn Buildings. This could also help with a much needed boost to defense.

Do you think there is a place for this kind of unit in the current game?

Do you think it will make attacking harder and give a boost to defence?

The only problem is, that the river or see (or whatever) is too little on the game map. And what about the rally? How would affect rally naval units?

Personally I'd say they're an independent unit like aircraft, so they remain stationary and fire on targets when selected (Then with a small cool down between attacks)

Interesting but can be 1 dimensional if stationary and only coming from 1 part of the map. But if amphibious vehicles or hovercraft can be something else all together. But I think they need to expand the map as pretty sure running out of space soon with all the buildings.

'Battleships' were mentioned in the gears of war event. May be a hint and/or clue.
(Of course now my mind wanders to Fort Astoria and all the WWII gun & mortar batteries defending the Columbia River way back then.) It would be a hell of a lot more to manage that's for sure!

If you create a river in the left side of the map (or right side) with a bridge over it and with possibility to deploy there naval units, you can attack the town from two sides, with a catapult like range, and harder to defend. I think it's a very interesting upgrade...

Maybe the navy doesn't have to attack the base, it can just be an aircraft carrier that repairs planes after each strafing run.
Why should the troops get a healer but the air units have to suffer until they're destroyed? I would be happy with the navy as an air repair unit - at least to start with.
