No one use Chinese?

Can I know why no one is using Chinese? It's national bonuses looks very good. +1 Mercs and +1 worker, 12 more infrantries spawn from base for defenses, and better rifle men. Why not a lot of top players are Chinese?

Well let's break it down:

- unique rifles are the worst of the 3, Korean or British are definitely better
- nobody cares about spawning infantries, they get killed in a second anyway
- +1 merc is nice, but not as good an offensive bonus as other nations have, like +1 tactic, more troop space, or the german damage thing

So the only thing that makes Chinese really worth it is the +1 citizen. That's a great bonus, and the reason I played Chinese from start till Enlightenment. When I hit Industrial, I swapped because I wanted more combat power, and the extra citizen had done its job by then.

I see a lot of players with the chinese nation.
All the 3 rifle nation are not rare.
Among rifle nations my favourite is Korea i love the tactic bonus, the one i like the least is Britain.

Chinese guns shoot faster but they're weaker than the others and their extra tactic is useful but not a deal maker. I would choose Koreans before Chinese but British guns are my easy choice with +1 range and +15% attack. The Koreans 10% refund is also not nearly appealing to me as British 15% loot bonus as I use my RSS quick and hustle big amounts in one session anyways. Plus when you start pulling in big RSS in the 500k to 1 million range the 15% loot bonus adds up quick.

I've been playing Chinese since the beginning. The only thing I would take over extra merc is German fury and rally bonuses. Extra troops don't even compare, extra tactic is nice, but I quite frequently use 4 to 5 tactics, 6 in rare instances, so 7th wouldn't make much of a difference. I agree that British riflemen are superior, but if everyone played British, this game would become boring quickly. As far as riflemen damage goes, there are situations when Chinese will deal 180% vs 140% of Koreans. So each have it's own strengths.

Chinese would see this bonus only if what they are shooting at dies in 1 shot each. So unless your opponent has massively under-leveled garrisons, this will never happen.

Chinese riflemen do 120% of base damage and they take 2 shots while others take one, so 60% per shot. If target has between 141% and 180% hp, Chinese riflemen will take 3 shots to kill target. Koreans would need 2 shots, equivalent to Chineses 4 shots.

unless the chinese rifleman has bad aim... or the korean riflemen goes for the precision double head shot! two for one! So if the chinese riflemen misses every 6th shot but then calls in air strike once an hour that kills 14 troops, while the korean riflemen can get a double shot 30% of the time on Fridays...which riflemen will win in February?
