Over this broken Medal System

I have been grinding back in forth between 3,025 - 3,080 for 3 weeks now. I'm constantly receiving the No Opponent message and wasting Training Blessing because of it. Every time I can find someone it's always +1/-39. I have to spend 3 - 4 hours just to make 30 medals then when I log off two Level 30 Generals stop by and take the 30 medals I just spent 4 hours grinding to get. I'm going to dramatically drop in medals and cash out on all the crowns from defense kills. Really no benifit to having high medals, tired of the aggravation and stress. Lately my only motivation was to reach Dynasty League for the free 2,000 crowns but it's not worth the hustle.

There is no point in a high medal count. It really means nothing if u ask me. I was at 2000 I just dropped back down to 1200

I'm tired of asking my buddies high in medals why they keep there, they have no real answer because there is really no point on it.

High medals leagues are for the cheaters. Accept it.

For legit players in my opinion, more than Gold is problematic, no good loot there, as Atiny says 1200 is the one I find the best if you need to loot still for walls for example. Staying in high leagues just for pride when you know it's really bad there, is dumb the way I see it...

I thought i replied but it's gone, but it's mainly the challenge that keeps me at higher levels, i'm not a wall-nazi(pardon the expression) so I go mainly for medals to cover my losses. The resources come anyway, with dynasty league bonus etc

I drank the koolaid and dropped medals and I'm happy I did! It's much less frustrating and it's nice playing with actual players and not the mega wall, hulked up base bots

Yes the nice black ones you can see over You also get nice presents with +green numbers in your defense logs too. It's a delightful place

I think that particular people might want to be high on medals to reach some famous aliance, or e.g if they have incomplete aliance to attract some good members
Apart from this its a bit pointless

You'll be happier down lower Will. But I'll add to the other comments that you can drop too low. Below 700, it's nearly impossible to get a shield even with your TC outside. Make sure if you're saving oil to stay above there or else you'll be continually raided with blimps, demolition, raiders and cheesy archer spam.

Very interesting thread. Since January I have been hanging around the 2800 mark. Don't think I will get much higher due to my general uselessness and indolence and like some of you on this thread I really wonder if it's worth it especially now the new AI has rendered cannon useless. Might actually be more fun further down (am thinking of dropping 1k medals but would really value more comments on this thread. After all if this game was snakes and ladders the snakes are long and the ladders short!

Im heading for the Empire league just for the 1k crowns then ill be dropping back down to farm crowns. Medals mean jack **** apart from some poxy token boat gifts.

Annunaki I undererstand your views but the battle rewards in empire 2 where I am currently at are not to sneered at - 137.5 k food and gold )+ 198 oil per battle (with research/ wonder bonuses) Only really need to get a star to make good loot progress and with a few French tanks most bases even maxed ones are crackable. But it is monotonous play and without alliance troops (I am still lone wolf) and around two hours battle play per day I only get around 25% 3-5 star wins which probably shows my ineptitude. So it is these battle rewards that make me hesitate to drop back.

Hugh Jazz and Max_imus Yes, once you achieve Dynasty League, 3,200 medals you are gifted 2,000 crowns. It was the only thing motivating me to grind on.
