Partial Videos...

On the subject of force quit, I wonder whether it would be possible to allow us to watch partial videos? Could the system record videos up to the point of termination and put the partial videos in our logs? If so, we could see whether it was a failed attack, raid, or random break in the action due to a connection problem.

What good would that do though? Replays are already so riddled with sync errors it's hard to make any sense of them now. The only thing I could see coming from seeing who hit you with a Close App attack will be hundreds more angry messages to an already overloaded CS.

Actually, it's a good point that replays aren't reliable. Hadn't thought of that in regard to this idea. I'd just prefer to see more defensive victories, rather than a bunch of sprung traps pre-battle...

As to the usefulness of the idea, the devs have indicated that they can't determine whether people are intentionally force quitting. This idea would possibly help in that regard, though of course accurate replays would be required for that to work.

I didn't mean it to sound like I was dumping on his idea, Aurelius has a lot of good ideas he's posted on this forum but if it's of my opinion one of them isn't viable or could even be detrimental I will raise my concern regardless of what you may believe is polite.

I understand what you're saying Tipek - I'll openly admit that one of my failings is that I quickly - sometimes too quickly - get annoyed with people when they criticize but don't come up with alternatives of their own. What can I say - I'm a very positive guy!!
