With reduced base damage and increased TC health (due to roads) this patch, raiders/motos are having a hard time sniping a TC...what do think guys? have to change my stategy again...sigh
Judging from your comments (and many others echoing your comments) this game clearly has a lot of issues at IA/high medal level play that need to be addressed. Even players like myself grapple with the crashing problem- so even though I don't compete for medals, I feel your frustration at the wait time for retrain when I lose one of my armies to a game crash. The problem has nothing to do with variety. Variety is good. The problem is rather than fixing the problems that made high level players choose sniping in the first place, they're now dragging everyone into adopting mixed armies. And I wouldn't have a problem with that if it didn't take me 57 min to train my army for a one medal battle, only to lose it all when I don't destroy every Industrial defense.
But again where's the strategy in that if everyone is pushed to use mixed armies? To compete against the no opponent problems, broken medal system, broken peace treaties etc. players had to originally develop a strategy to climb this ridiculously uphill battle. That strategy became known as sniping and was the answer to a broken system. Now if the developer's goal with this update works, everyone will be using mixed armies, and eventually a single composition build will become popularized and widely adapted. At that point they'll probably nerf a random unit, say artillery. And I guarantee they'll do that before they fix the underlying problems.
It's obvious it's purely an attempt to cash grab more crowns from players. I mean you think this new 24 hr cool-down for generals really adds anything in terms of variety or strategy?
A mixed army is by definition variety, as you can comprise the mix in enumerable different ways.
A Raider army is comprised purely of Raiders and thus is a one-trick pony. I'm not sure how you could arrive at any other conclusion- unless there is only one specific build of mixed army that can win at high medal range- in which case your point stands and I withdraw my previous comments.
