Redoubts need a small buff

It's clear that these are probably the worst defense structure in the game. Im not so much talking about the damage, although a small buff on them would be nice, but the range on them is not even correct. My rangers can out range redoubts and I'm not even British.

My suggestion: Buff the range up an additional 1 or 1.5.

thanks for bringing this up; i've been wondering for a while about the redoubt range.
only recently did i check the redoubt description and it says range 7 same as towers ... but graphically it doesn't look like that

because i'm not pro, i never actually checked the range but was just playing by intuition.... my experience says their range is shorter.

No damage buffs. We don't need to make Heavy Infantry even more useless than they already are. But do fix the range if it's incorrect.

Its a bug that nexon's been ignoring. While their attack range is probably 7, their detection range is probably same as balista towers. So british archers outrange it all the time and sometimes, normal archers also dont trigger the damn thing. It would be much better if cannons and british archers can't outrange it.

honestly making it detect shooters will make them so powerful and defense is becoming more op, that i could agree before but now, enough what have been made to tactics and SH, we don't have enough sabotage to deal with that many defenses

and fyi, their range is 7 but not detection range, means they need something to get to like range 4 or less to start shooting, but once they start shooting their shots hit units at further range 6-7

Defense is already crazy strong at war. But yes redoubt need to correct its ranges

I don't agree. If everything was ranged 7 the game would be boring. I like the fact that Mortars have splash damage, towers have good range but are single shot & redoubts are about range 4 but have suppression effect instead of immediate kill. It's interesting!!
But, redoubts have always had a shorter range than other towers. If you want them buffed, upgrade them! :)

Like I said in the post, I'm not concerned about the damage. They get killed before they shoot.

The power of redoubt lies in its area denial effect. Can you rally to TC when your troops have to go near a redoubt on the way? No. Can you rally on a mortar that is firing at your shooters with a redoubt there? Nope.

To add something more, defenders attract shooters. Put a redoubt in front of spawn buildings and it should catch some shooters.

KniferX So far that area denial has proved to be non-existent to minimal. Putting garrison/stables in front of the redoubt doesn't mean anything, rangers shoot the towers and defenders before they come in their range anyway.

Detection range at 7 but shooting range at 4... it was has been so stupid I can't believe this has not been fixed since... it's out.
