I'm EA and finished all the buildings except farms, caravans and 4 forests. My level is 115 before the roads are finished. 44 walls lv9 and 76 lv8.
Library is finished and I still have to research Heavy gatling gun, Barage and First Aid plus all the embasy upgrades.
Generals are 11, 11, 10, 10, 5.
My plan is to finish the tactics, and the heavy gatling gun and bring Napoleon to lv 10 at least. Any ideas of what should be done more to survive in jumping to IA when GA will attack me and also to be able to loot. I would try meanwhile to finish the forests and upgrade some more walls.

Heck yeah! Go for it! What are you waiting for? First couple weeks in IA are the most difficult phase of the game (kinda like the ackward teenage years). No way of avoiding that but you seem very well prepared to fend off attackers. Make the jump 😊

The most valuable resource in the game is worker time. You can, in theory at least, always raid more to get more gold, food, or oil, but the only way to free up workers is to spend crowns or real-life time waiting. Letting your workers sit around idle while you upgrade generals is a waste. As I think you realize, farms and caravans are pretty low-priority upgrades, but I guess as long as you have something for your workers to do it's not too bad to wait around, other than being unable to take advantage of the weekend discounts they have been offering . But, really, it sounds like you are more than ready to advance. (Do you ever actually use Barrage or First Aid? I don't. And I have found gatling guns are not as effective as regular shooters for the troop space.)

You are already ready for IA tbh. Planes are incredibly fun, go for it sooner rather than later!

I can give you some tips. In IA they don't use horse and they shoot over wall. So stop worry too much about wall! And if your workers are building farms it is a huge waste, much more waste than doing nothing. Because farms and caravans take much more worker time than nothing!

Yes, you have your priorities in order! Great planning imo. Like the guys above said... You're ready! Now get ready to loot oil like a MF, Airstrip and LVL3 Factory are game changers! Always keep a Betrayal tactic with you, or else those indus/global Bunkers can become your doom. Make your toughest enemies work for you ;)
I'd still advice against focusing on farms and caravans, increasing your lvl and wasting resources on such pointless buildings won't be beneficial.
Good luck!

PD: walls always matter ;)

Thanks for all the advice. I will start asap with ia but I will stick with Napoleon being 10 before going IA. I keep doing farms and caravans just to keep workers busy not as a scope itself. I'm quite an agresive player, british nation by the way.

you should stop worrying about who attacks you. you can't avoid this. How many attacks you do in a day? and how many times you get attacked? the moment you had max available army and max tactics you could go to IA. There is no legal way to avoid 100% destruction from a smart opponent who knows what he is doing. Even with a industrial age army. So go for it!!

I'm Brits also, lvl 126 EA still 15 days away from IA. First walls always matter, second heroes are a big part of my WW Stratergy and I've found with Brit guns I'm 4-5* lvl 145 plus IA & GBA bases in wars. One of the deep satisfactions I have of accomplishments is getting as close to maxing each age. But I do agree that if you have free workers it's time to move up...which isn't your case. Upgrading your auxillary buildings will give u time to upgrade Hero's. Also it gives you time to work those walls. While each age brings its toys and trinkets....enjoy the smaller/simpler ones now as it will make you appreciate better/ bigger ones later.

Definitely move up. The jump to gunpowder was great - the jump to EA, not so much, imo. The jump to IA, however, ...... woohoo!!! Better toys = better raiding!!

There's always time for the upgrades afterwards.

As always, here's a checklist I might recommend, in no particular order (others might have alternate suggestions). If you have checked off all of them, moving to IA might be a really good idea.
  • Temple
  • Armory
  • Library
  • 3 barracks
  • Troop upgrades for your most used troops
  • "Standing Army" chapters at the library
  • War academy
  • Mercenary camp
  • War tactics upgrades for your most used war tactics
  • Alliance gate
  • All towers
  • All cannon towers
  • All stables
  • At least 1 garrison
  • Mills, markets, store house
  • Embassy (based on any recommendations from your alliance)

A mix of level 8 and level 9 walls is good enough for IA.
I'm not a huge fan of generals in the game. Sure enough, they help, but, not vital to the point of holding off on advancing to IA.

With the upgrades listed above, you would have maxed out most of you vital offensive capabilities, and key defensive upgrades, along with your storage buildings. If you have checked off all of these items, it's definitely a good idea to advance to IA.

Well, a list too long. Your alliance mates will die for donated artillery. So here is my list: upgrade shooter-heavy cavalry-cannon-healer, build library and rush "standing army", then 3 barracks then max mills and markets and refinery. After that you can do anything to wait for level 80, and when you reach that, puss the advance age button! Sure you can have time to do some more thing!

The 1st 2 weeks in IA will definitely still be tough on you no matter if you are maxed your defences of not. There is no way around it.

As they have already mentioned above, the dps jump from EA to IA is great. In EA you will still get run over by IA troops. So there is no point staying in EA.

Your IA defences will be in a better position defending against a GA attacker than a EA defending against an IA opponent.

You get what I mean?
