So... what makes the Black Band Mercenaries different from the Dopplesoldners?

Their sprites have the same pose and everything. You can observe this with the Shieldmaidens and the Vikings.

Point is I don’t like clones. If they’re going to be aesthetically and functionally similar, it boils down to bloatware. If you’re going to keep releasing new Troop Tactics (I really don’t recommend this either), can you make them do something different?

There's quite a few that are similar. So many of them are merely different by single digit points though they have a new rich back story. It is nonsense to do this because it merely stretches the columns for troops cards, making it harder to sift through the troops. I think the new troops will be the "Mammoth" archers. No affiliation with the elephant archers. It's just turned into fortnite with all the new skins.

Yes, but it distracted you from the other problems for a few seconds, didn't it? ;)

They already did a version of this not long ago. The mammoth archers. I think they were only available in a sale though, I never got any.

No because it’s part of a larger problem. They added bloatware with the Archive, the Crown Dock, and now these Troop Tactic clones.

Gallowglass would also be a good (possibly Northern only) mercenary contract - given that was the primary purpose they served throughout history, and were pretty damn popular in Ireland, which is also where they get their name from.
That of course is only relevant if the Gallowglass are not already in the mod
Harland and Wolff could be another good Naval contractor, they produced a large amount of the British navy up to and throughout the First World War, notably they also constructed the Titanic and her two sister ships the Olympic and the Brittanic - the company are still around however.
Edit; The Wild Geese should certainly be a contract either as a reference to the film or to the Mercenaries who served in Europe largely between the late sixteenth century and the mid eighteenth.
