This issue deserves its own topic, it is mentioned as a cause of the matchmaking problem and sandbagging.
Of the last ten wars we had 2 wins and 8 stalemates. With a stalemate you get a little loot and no glory.
imo the causes are
- getting 5* in an attack is too easy
- defense in this game is useless.
- People ask for bigger guns. Nexon wants to give bigger guns
- all nice events which deliver more guns add to the first bullet
Solutions may be
- make it harder to get 5* in an attack in war. Perhaps add 10-20% damage to defenders or health to buildings during war.
- modify the rules when it is a tie. Now average destruction is used in a tie, which is always 100% for both sides in a full extermination stalemate.
it really is a downer to get stalemates, especially when you see it coming is bad for morale
