The problem with extra troops

With last update we now have the possibility to get extra troops from expeditions. Now heavy crown users can use a very large number of them in WW, which is going to further worsen the offense/defense unbalance and make 5 stars and stalemates even more common.
While the idea of expeditions is quite nice I think, those extra troops should only be usable in MP in my opinion. I think this is a critical time for the game and if Nexon wants it to last more than just a few more months they should be very careful to make the game more balanced. Feedback from moderators on this topic would be very very welcome.

Stop crying, it's your fault you are in a top alliance. Just join some lower one to play easy wars, you will defend there against unskilled players and your base will be invincible even with 100 extra troops.

I thought one key tenant of the game, as explained here by a developer was not to have aspects of the game available only to those who pay for it. The ability to purchase unlimited extra troops for war attacks certainly seems to be contrary to that tenant. The only thing limiting it is that you can only have 1 of each type of troop in your tray from purchases, but there are a LOT of new troops now, and if one sped up the expeditions with thousands of crowns, one could easily get one of everything. How many are there? 20 different types? 20 extra armies nearly guarantees a win, regardless of what the defenses are. So the rest of us put time (and in many cases money) into our defenses, but it's all meaningless because a cheater or someone with a lot of money [two different classes of people, I am not equating the two!] can just roll over you with 20 extra armies.

I feel like Dominations has become a big bait and switch. I started playing because I liked the concept and there was no pay to win parts of the game. I liked the introduction of world wars. Everyone was equal, and you could compete with or without paying for the game. But with the last few updates, Nexon has added the university (which cannot be completed without a lot of money), expeditions, and troop sales. All of these have changed the game dramatically, and in a totally different direction from when I started playing. It's becoming less about skill, and more about how much money you spend, and that's opposite from the reasons that brought me to this game in the first place. Now you can be defeated by someone with 20+ extra armies, and there is no strategy whatsoever to it. Just place all armies down, and you win. It didn't used to be like that. I used to defend against even maxed players because they sometimes lack the skill to attack a good base, but now any base can be defeated with more money.

The game now has two separate rules for attacking: Those who have spent a ton of money, and those who don't. And I feel that's a bad path to go down.

too my opinion those extra troops shouldn't be removed, but the amount you can use in a single battle should be limited to a certain amount. This to prevent too easy victories.

I'm proud to be a moron! It's no secret morons and idiots are the majority of the world population. They're not gonna get smart suddenly and start acting reasonably. It's you who will have to change. You're in the minority!

Life is easier and the world is a much better place when you are dumb, the game is great now! Except sandbags, sandbags are not cool. But extra troops are awesome. Stalemates are just a myth! Now I can get 5 stars on any base with zero skills. Ha!

To be noted people who "Spend A ton if money" is A minority. Common wisdom says 5-10% for this kind of business model. So 90-95% of your wars you will not face them. Is It really an issue? True once in while you would stalemate while you would have destroy the opponent w/o extra cards. Not really A big deal imo. After all without those folks to fund the game, you simply could not get to play. At all.

And when we say "A ton" we really mean A BIG HUGE ton, because expédition are really time consuming for the workers. And to collect A good deal of card that you use each war you really have to spend a lot.

Of course there has to be an incentive for big spenders. But this isn't the right one. It's just like playing poker with people who can get extra cards... And don't forget the crown hack is still out there. It is a big deal especially regarding 2 or 3 alliances which I won't name...
