too little supplies vs researchers and benefactors

I agree, way too few supplies available compared to other types of resources. The expeditions need to return at least 3x more supplies to make it work. I don't see players upgrading more than 1 or 2 artifacts to 5-star level per year. It takes too much time to gather supplies, etc.

It's overly complicated, imho. Remove the researchers and benefactors entirely, and just make it all cost supplies, while increasing the supplies in the expeditions.

All this talk makes me wonder if I should even bother upgrading my docks past level six. All three of mine were at five to shut the old man up, I had planned on full upgrades to them. However, my level six docks have a six hour trip that nets 10 supplies, and two two day trips that net 186 supplies each. Actually they're both shorter now that I've completed the library research. No benefactors or researchers though. Makes me think I should sit at level six until I've netted something like 10,000 supplies before moving up. Looks like Nexon put the cart before the horse. I hope you folks were sitting down before this no doubt shocking revelation.

Max level docks have a 6 hour expedition that gives 50 supplies. It's worth it to upgrade.

Level 7 dock will give you 3 potential expeditions, which might be good for more variety. Upgrade to that level at least

Getting to the point where this is very irritating. I have my dock upgraded as high as it can be (a different story...) and I generally have two expeditions going at all times to cycle through them to get to the one or two expeditions (Kiel, Rio) that have a small number of resources as a reward. Seriously, lower level dock bonuses, based on comments above, seem to have multiple better opportunities to get higher numbers of museum resources.

So so the way I see it, NEXON is slamming those people who had fully upgraded docks by
1. Making it more difficult to upgrade artifacts by severely limiting our ability to upgrade artifacts and putting us at a disadvantage to other users and
2. Taking away the old secondary rewards (crop blessing, commerce blessing, peace treaty, diamonds...) that was the incentive for us users to upgrade our docks in the first place.

I realize that we were a small population of users who had fully upgraded docks, but REALLY? Is this how you keep your player base happy and interested?

I understand and agree with making it a bit difficult to upgrade the artifacts, but putting a certain population at a severe disadvantage is not in the spirit of “Fair Play”

TinSoldier please address / respond

Thank you.

I agree with NEXON’s stance that updating / maxing out the artifacts should not be easy. I like the “luck of the draw” aspect of artifacts. It causes the player to carefully choose which artifact to upgrade. But, a player, in my opinion should be able to unlock one artifact level per week. I am cycling through expeditions (generally 2 at a time), and have been for a week, and have only collected 289 resources.

Frustration with what could be a great addition to the game is growing.

After playing with the artifacts for a week a came to the conclusion that the real bottleneck here is a good artifact. When you get one you'll have enough supplies already - seems like the estimate "one good artifact in a month" is reasonable.

I agree. That’s why I’m upgrading open perks on artifacts before selling them back. I’d rather have more chances for a good artifact than more blueprints at this point.

I was excited about the museum until I realized the huge supplies bottleneck. It makes artifacts virtually worthless. Even crowning would be ridiculously expensive at 10 (non-guaranteed) supplies for 99 crowns. Very few people will ever end up upgrading any artifact beyond 3 stars, if even that. I use my dock constantly, too, and it's simply going to take forever saving up enough for upgrades that way.

The economics of the supplies issue just kills the whole thing. The math is just off.

At this point I think supplies are even rarer than crowns in the Domiconomy. I believe they gave us 300 supplies to start with. I got that up to 400 to unlock level 2 of a good artifact I received. Since then I have been trying to collect 600 supplies to unlock level 3, and I am sitting at a whopping 306! I keep expeditions rolling, and I don't think I've gotten more than 50 supplies from any of them (and those are rare). I do have plenty of researchers and hat ladies though!

Too many worthless benefactors and researchers. Replace them all with supplies. I already have enough researchers and benefactors to upgrade to level 5 artifact, but supplies are nowhere close.

Perhaps Marco will sell us supplies. Or let us swap researchers and benefactors for supplies, but that smacks of human trafficking. Or the museum chest could get real and give 100 supplies instead of 10.

It's actually cheaper to crown the expeditions with supplies in them rather than buy the museum chest. Yet another math fail.

If those two 6 hour expeditions were constantly available and could be run back to back, a player could get an almost reasonable number of supplies with two workers, one on each (assuming finished the shipping research at the library). The big problem is that all the other expeditions take much longer, and don't provide the right resources, and it costs 300 crowns to roll for a new one. Realistically, you can probably only run one of those every day or two. Which limits you to around 60 per day at most.

Great observation! I have an expedition for 51 supplies (guaranteed) that would cost 62 crowns to finish, vs 99 crowns for a chance at 10 supplies. Bad math indeed.
