Troops disappeared after a win

Not sure if this is a known issue but, I just got done raiding someone, I lost 2 cavalry and 5 infantry units. As I get back to my base to remake those units, it turns out I have to remake my whole army even though the majority survived. This has happened more than once but not often. What I did notice was, when the battle ended my surviving troops were about to attack a tower. So I was thinking, the tower was still firing at my troops even though the fight was over causing the bug to lose all my troops, just my theory.

Er..I thought you need to clear all military buildings for your surviving troops to return home? If you left one tower then you loose all your troops even if won the map!

You're right Kroyon, if all defensive buildings are not destroyed you wont get your troops back.
