I posted something about this in Bugs and Known Issues but thought I'd reach a wider audience in here.
I've recently had 2 separate losses of -38 and -39 medals with no records in my logs and no known crashes - nor any missing troops in my barracks. I contacted
Seraphine and CS about it but they're still investigating - so I did some investigating of my own.
If you scout a base and the 30sec timer runs out - and you enter the actual battle timer - if you don't deploy any troops you can quit the battle and not lose anything. We all know this. When you return to your base everything will be as it was.
However, if you then log out of the game, when you log back in you will have a loss of medals - the same amount that would've been showing as the -XX number of medals from that last quit. I've confirmed this 4 times. (ouch!)
HOWEVER - if you don't log out after that first quit and scout another base - and attack - your medal win/losses will NOT record the loss from the first quit. This must be a bug because it only happens if you log out after a ''quit''. If you win or lose a battle, then log out, everything is as it should be.
So my advice is:
if you get sidetracked & the battle timer goes into the actual battle and you quit, then always - ALWAYS - scout another base and attack before you log out of the game.
So @ Seraphine - can you please investigate? FYI - regardless of what CS says I'm expecting some compensation for this ..... even if it's just a ''smiley face'' stamp on the hand.
