and i'm a Global age player. the loot/reward is so pathetic, it doesn't justify the cost to attack, not to mention any troops card which could cost real $$$ throw into war.

seriously, what's the point for war?

Even if the war loot was 2m gold/food and 20k oil, it still wouldnt be worth it if you had to spend a bunch of real money just to have a chance to win the war.

Lets just say you have to use 8 cards per war at .99 each, you are spending $24 a week just for wars or $1,248 a year.

I have never used real money in wars and havent really used the cards either that i have for free so im not actually sure how many per war you would need if both sides used max cards.

I actually think that number is 12 instead of 8 which means $35 a week or $1,853 a year.

There are so many better things people could be spending their money on rather than these 1 time use items

If you think of high level war like an IRL game, the rewards don't really matter. How much do you win when you spend an evening playing pool, or an afternoon playing soccer or softball? How much does it cost? Think of the the social aspect of participating in a war; to some people spending money is worth it. For others it is not.

It would be nice if there were alliance leagues. Alliances that get to the top league are all probably used to spending the max on every war. The league below will spend something on each war. drop down a few leagues and you will be up against free players.

WW have not been implemented for loot but for fun. In just 2 multiplayer attacks which takes like 5 min, I win as much ressources as during a 2 days WW. In fact I win even more because in multiplayer I can easily make 5 stars on a base without loosing any troop and without buying any supplementary troop (mercenaries, cards etc.).
To give war loot a real sense it should be like 5M gold, 5M food and 50k oil (eventually depending on the player's age) but this will never be the case, so do WW for fun, for glory, for your alliance but not for loot.
Appart from this, the main issues for WW are still the glory and matchmaking problems ..

I spent 5 hours playing tennis the other day. Other than the occasional purchase of tennis balls it was free.

Im going to go spend about 7 hours playing board games with a friend tomorrow, that cost $5 to play as long as i want.

I can go riding my bike with friends for hours and hours and the only cost to me is if i get a flat, havent in over a year, and the yearly tuneup to my bike.

There are many many other activities i could go do for little to no money with my friends. Eventually the cost of war is going to cause me to have to quit this game and solely play CoC instead that doesnt need p2w in its wars, which is sad because i really like this game.

I also have an assortment of video games i can play for hours and hours with no more money investment than what i paid to buy the game.

There was also a time that wars didnt have p2w in them and they were a blast then. there is no need to have a p2w aspect to the war part of this game. I cant imagine why you would want to have to spend money when it could be just as fun without spending money.

So you didn't consume any extra fluids while playing tennis for 5 hours? You don't snack or drink while playing board games? You don't spend any money travelling to where you play? After riding your bike with friends, do you just go home or do you socialize a bit at a pub/bar/cafe?

You are a casual player of this and other games. Other people take things more seriously in this and other activities. Both are fine, and both have a place. Without the serious players, there would be no advances in tennis equipment. Without the players willing to pay for this game, there would be no servers and the rest of us would have to find something else to do.

I acknowledge that casual and serious IRL game (e.g. tennis) players do not often play together. That does happen in this game, so it highlights the p2w aspects. That's why I suggested leagues to create some separation.

-Yes i do, water and its free. Typically when im playing board games it is at someone elses house and they always provide the snacks. No i walk to the tennis courts near my house. I go home as im soaked in sweat and want to shower.

- I spend multiple hours a day on this game i just dont spend money on it other than the 2 starter packs i bought. Please tell me how CoC is in the top 3 money earners year after year and doesnt have any p2w features in its wars? Its purely pay to advance.

-P2W is a bad model for wars, the main and most fun aspect of the game. It will turn more players away from the game than it would keep if there was no p2w in wars. Just because someone doesnt spend money doesnt mean they arent a serious gamer. Not everyone can afford to drop $24-$35 a week on a game. So those players that maybe spend some money but cant spend that much are going to get tired of facing p2w alliances in wars and just quit the game.

There are so many better ways for this game to make money than p2w. CoC has a lot of great offers in game that are affordable to most players. I just went to TH9 which would equal industrial age in this game.

For 9.99 i could get a x-bow(3M gold and 7 day build time), Archer Queen(40k dark elixir"oil") and 1.2k gems"crowns."

In this game though, to build just 1 bunker for "free" cost $34.99. If they would quit pricing people out with offers like that, and have more offers like Super Cell has, they would make a lot more money.

Separating a small player base into even smaller sections is a terrible idea. Those money spenders are going to get bored playing the same alliances over and over again, while the majority of the player base will be in the cheaper/free leagues.

Okay, I take your point. I don't play any other games like this, so I have no reference. Sounds like CoC does have a better model. The discussion about how Nexon should generate income deserves its own thread, which if you start I will happily contribute to.

BTW, playing tennis for 5 hours and only drinking water is not advisable. You need to replace electrolytes ;-)

mate, look how much rewards CoC gives to their players and to top leaderboard clans, nothing justifies the shit loot we get from war here, not even fun not the social aspect, nothing, if this is what u care about that doesn't make other players spend that crap load of resources and troop cards for nothing, with a chance of losing and getting 30% of that crap loot too, many players join the war to boost their economy specially for oil, and oil is being difficult to find, GA and below litterly getting wiped by max AA for their oil, u can ask them to endure the loss for ur fun
